Everyone says you have to do a Luau when you go to Hawaii, and now that I've done one, I agree. It's a great celebration of the local culture, and in the end it makes for a fun evening. First, the downside: The food is average. Salted pork, fried chicken, and your typical Hawaiian side dishes are nothing special, but... More

Had to do a luau while in Hawaii, as it's a part of their culture. This is a great option! It was close to our hotel in Honolulu. We received free drinks with our package upon arrival (tasty punch, yum!), and a card with some cash on it to use at the bar whichever as really great. The initial hula... More

First I would like to make it clear that the staff is very good, and very helpful. The thing you need to think of first is, if you are staying at Waikiki, the 30 to 45 min bus ride out the can turn into a 2 hour ride on a warm, stuffy bus. Now, again, this is not the fault... More

Went to the luau on September 20, 2014. Started out well. The pre-dinner entertainment wasn't bad - they had a guy climb a palm tree and present the "Shower of Flowers," there was a fish net throwing exhibition. The show when they remove the kalua pig from the ground was pretty neat, with hula girls and guys. There are vendors... More

I really wanted to go to a Luau as I felt it's part of Hawaiian culture, we had the deluxe package so had seats near the front and waitress service the games and activities before looked great, however as it was so busy we only got to have a go at spear throwing and a canoe ride before the entertainment... Paradise Cove is one of the heaviest marketed luaus on the Oahu Island. We fell for the marketing instead of the recommendations of locals. First, the trip from Waikiki was great, the overall experience was great, but I did not come away feeling like I'd been to a luau. This one is very commercialized. We bought the highest priced seats... More

My first luau experience and I can say I had a great time. The tour guide was very informative and lively. The place was full of tourist but very organized. Activities were fun, food were great, the shows were spectacular. I can cross this out from my bucket list.

We wanted to go to a luau because we were in Hawaii. This place was great. From the lush property, the greeting, the crafts, the hula dancers, the buffet, it was all very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. We went on a night that wasn't very full so that made everything even better because we didn't have to wait... More
