I had never before been to a luau as this was my first trip to Hawaii. However, my wife had been to one before on a Tauck tour. My impression was luau's are tacky and cheesy. It was not family friendly with the sexual content of the dancers and host and heavy drinking by the audience. The food was pathetically... More

This was close to our resort, and the price was reasonable due to a discount web-site. But you get what you pay for! The food was mediocre, buffet except for the meat, which was doled out sparingly. You could go back for seconds, but why bother? The location was deceiving: in an industrial park, but the luau site itself was... More

First trip to Hawaii but not first Luau. Waited for bus pick up from Waikiki which was 45mins late and there was no apology to any guests. Bit disappointing. Hit peak hour traffic so trip was about 2 hours out there. No greeting by staff on arrival. Moved over to picnic tables and were pretty dirty. The commentary by the... More

We were sooo...disappointed. The food selection, quality of the food, paper plates, cheap plastic forks, whitener for coffee, no milk, no cream, no decaf (except package of instant). Like going to a potluck where everyone was to cheap to bring quality food. Cheap brown and white sugarry cake for dessert. I could go on and on. The attendant at the... More

Family visited the Luau on a Saturday night. The Good The dancing and stage entertainment Free bus ride which had cheesy but bearable entertainment. Not So Good Most of the food. Its cafeteria food with some good highlights such as terriyaki and kalua pork but misses such as fried chicken and mahi mahi. Adults are given 3 drink tickets each... More

Staff on the bus are great and very talented, food is horrible, drinks are very sugary, the show is good. Men's bathroom stank of urine and was dirty.

Went with family and friends to our first ever Luau. We all had a fantastic time. We had our own transportation and arrived early, before the seven busses of guests arrived. While waiting, we were able to take pictures with the dancers and engage in very friendly conversation, Do take the suggestions and purchase the $10 tiki mug for your... More

We were the only two from Disney Aulani to ride the bus. Cousin K had prepped the other 50 who had already been on the bus for an hour to welcome us. He was very funny. It felt like we were at a game show - in a good way - and we had fun. Audience participation was a lot... More

My wife and I attended the Germaine's Luau, which was our first ever Luau on our first trip to Hawaii. Part of the price included transportation from our hotel. As I am finding on the island, the local's have their own version of time. We were told to be outside at 4 PM and the bus would leave at 4:10... More
