First off, I have to say, this was my second visit to Germaine's. I went back in 2004 and told my friend as soon as we booked our tickets to Oahu that we had to go back and do this- it was a must! I have been to Luaus on Maui, Oahu and Kauai and and this one I remembered... More

This cultural experience immerses you in the traditions of the luau as well as showing you the styles of dance and costume of the Polynesian people. The food is nothing to get excited about, but that's not why you come. Of particular interest is the sunset on the beach, with crashing waves coming in. The songs and dances soon transport... More

This was our 4th time we attended a Luau at Germaine's. We keep going back because we want friends to experience a luau. The entertainment with all the different regions of Polynesian dancing and the firedancer have all been consistently very good. The pig roast demonstration is also very well explained. The buffet style food is also very good especially... More

We went to Germaine's Luau our first night in Hawaii. Although it is very touristy, a fun time was had by all. Surprisingly the food was very good, and I did go for seconds. The 3 free drinks are on the small side, but not watered down. We were lucky to find a coupon on Living Social, so the cost... More

Bus 2 - Alika. Alika was out bus tour host to and from the Luau. He made the night. He was BRILLIANT. Food was traditional - good to taste. An aquired taste but good to experience. Show was ok. But hard to see from where we sat, and was extremely windy. Take a jumper!!!! It was cold. Definitely take layers... More

Germaine's was one of the Luau options on the Go Oahu card. Since we'd done the Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center on our previous trip to Hawaii, we decided to try a different one this time. It is a good choice for getting value from the price of the card. I read some reviews of the experience so we... More

We came here on our Honeymoon 30 years ago. Loved it then, loved it now. The only thing different, was the area was more developed around it. Still a great Luau!

I had such a great night at the luau, the staff were lovely, the food was great and the entertainment was absolutely wonderful. A bit of a hike to get out to the luau form Waikiki but the bus driver and guide made it an enjoyable trip.

You can't go to Hawaii and not go to a luau. I had been to Germaine's Luau before but this was hubby's first time. Greg was our escort on the bus ride out to the Luau site. He was friendly but admittedly his humour and friendliness seemed "forced". The show at the Luau was a good depiction of the various... More
