A local recommended visiting the nut farm for some free samples and we just happened upon the tour while we were there. Tama was our main guide and he is hollywood-grade hilarious. I'm 54 years old and this was the most entertaining tour I have ever been on. I can't recommend this tour enough. The (2 hour?) tour was only... More

I read the reviews and decided to go. Fantastic!!! We got there 10 minutes late for the 11:00 tour and the guy was so nice! He walked us down to meet the tour in progress and was very accommodating. It was educational, interesting, interactive, and fun and included a brief boat ride around a lagoon, which I didn't expect. The... More

Loved Tropical Farms, up close and personal. No self guided tour or tourist trap. Just an honestly beautiful place where you can enjoy the scenery and the company of warm friendly natives. We were welcomed with a smile, coffee, bananas, all you can crack open and eat Macadamia Nuts. Excellent tour with even a souvenir that I kept using during... More

A good way to describe this attraction is YUMMY *smiling* We stopped here as part of an island tour we took and we're so glad we did. If you've ever been to Picard's Peanuts in Ontario, Canada, this place is similar when it comes to samples only with macadamia nuts rather than peanuts. We samples everything and even went back... A great place to visit. Nice little store with all sorts of food and nut souvenirs to take home. Great prices on mac nuts. The tour is a great, up close Hawaiian cultural experience for $20. We really enjoyed it. For Losties, some filming for Lost was done here.

Roadside spot featuring mac nuts, coffee, jewelry, and souvenirs of various varieties. There are samples of most everything, which is fun. In the end, the nuts themselves did not measure up so well in size and freshness, not sure why. The Hilo Mauna Loa tour and products get my vote over this spot. Between tour buses and the crowds they... More

Being a tour guide at the Disneyland Resort I would say I have pretty high expectations. This was the best tour I have ever taken!!! Not only was it incredibly well priced but you got your bang for your buck. Our tour guide was informative, interactive, and hilarious! In addition to the tour the outlet store is delightful. Enjoy some... More

A well kept secret that isn't promoted enough! We have been coming to the Macadamia Nut Farm for years. This was the first time that we timed our driving trip just right to take the tour and I am SO glad that we finally did! Tours, at least at the time of writing of the review, are at 11:00, 1:00... Stopped by during our driving tour of the island. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee before sampling the macadamia nut offerings. Had already decided to purchase the onion and garlic variety but also bought some gourmet cooking salts and wasabi coated nuts. A Very Good stop off
