24 years ago Lanikai beach was a quiet unspoilt beach for the locals. Now, due to erosion of the sandy beach, it has almost disappeared entirely. The little areas that are still left in tact are visited now also by tourists from all over the world. thus it is crowded. However, it still has the most glorious sea water imaginable,... More

Calm, clear waters looking out towards to Mokulua Islands. Sandy beach and great for family; safe for children. Parking hard to find so might need to walk a bit. More

Lanikai beach is beautiful, not too-crowded and pretty secluded. It is a bit of a drive though off the coast and a little hard to find but we thought it was worth it. More

My friend had her wedding ceremony at this location and it was absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect background for pictures. The water was warm and clear. The only downside was the wind, but that was a minor issue. Also, my friend got stung by a jellyfish, so be careful! I loved that there was free parking. More

sometimes the surf changes up the sand, but for the most part, walking on this beach (if you are on the part that is right next to the water) is almost like walking on smooth hardwood floors. lots of support, but not rough on your feet at all. makes for a very delightful walk! :) More

This beach is jawdroppingly beautiful. It's a little tricky to get to if you don't have a car but well worth it. It wasn't too busy when we went and I found it less busy than neighboring beach, Kailua and also far more beautiful. If's fine for swimming/snorkelling/kayaking but watch out for the blue bottle jelly fish which have a... More

I have never kayaked before so I was a little nervous at first but then you get on the water a comforting feeling came about. The cost line it is shallow and clear letting you can see all the objects under the water for about 2 miles out. We saw rocks and fish but the best of all was when... More

No wonder people want to live in Lanikai! What a gorgeous beach and away from the groups of tourists looking to get too much sun. More

The water is so blue and the sand is the softest that we have found. Turtle swim a little ways from the beach and the snorkeling is good. If you have a lot of energy rent a kayak and go out to Rabbit Island for some great pictures. More
