Softest sand!

This beach has the softest sand! The water is a little colder because it is on the North Shore, but it was beautiful. Definitely recommend going to!

There is not as much beach here as there used to be.Please pack your trash, know that there are no restroom facilities and please don't walk on the coral heads on the reef.

The beach was beautiful. It was a little tricky with parking and there weren't public bathrooms. It was beautiful but I like Waimanalo beach better.

We got there very early and stayed the morning. Although it was sunday, it was very un crowded. The beach was beautiful. It was windy and stormy but it was still a beautiful day. The snorkeling is on. The shore coral was covered with silt. We did see a fair amount of fish and the water was warm. Recommend going... More

I like Kailua Beach much better. More sand area, parking easier to find and it is right next to Lanikai. Same beautiful ocean.

Great beach for families-calm and crystal blue green waters, soft sand, and good for snorkeling. Waves too small for boogie boarding or body surfing. Parking in residential neighborhood not too bad with plenty of public access points. No restroom facilities or showers and remember to bring food, water, etc. since you are in residential area with no restaurants, shops, etc.

This beach is even more beautiful than Kailua beach where we were staying. However it is hard to find and parking is at a premium. But definitely worth the effort and would be great if you are taking a bus out from Honolulu for the day. It has absolutely perfect soft sugar white sand and beautiful turquoise clear water. The... Lanakai Beach, is located on the windward side of the island in Kailua, HI. It's about a 14 mile drive from Waikiki to get there, and certainly worth both the time, and effort. It is adjacent to Kailua Beach, and it too is much nicer than any of the Waikiki beaches! In addition to beautiful coastline, the sand is clean,... More

A little hard to find, and get a parking spot, but ranks at the top of our list of beaches in terms of quality of sand-perfect, views-amazing, warm calm water as protected by a reef, perfect for kayaking, and paddle boarding. While here, you can also try the beach at Kailua which has better parking and restrooms, but the quality... More
