Dont miss it because some people say its touristy. It is still one of the best beaches in the whole world. The waters are really blue and great for swimming! Plus the view is one of the best I've seen at a beach. Its definitely a must visit for Oahu!

My favorite beach to visit in Hawaii. Parking is limited as it is tucked behind a residential neighborhood. But the view and the sand are tremendous. Must see.

Have been here so many times. Love the super fine sand. Despite the near-always murky water, this is such a beautiful place. While it gets crowded, we go early or late to avoid most of the crowds and have never had a problem finding a legal parking spot. No facilities on the beach so bring everything you'll need with you.

We were there around 8am for a couple of hours of snorkeling. Parking was easy at that time. Started to fill up when we left. Some easy to reach reefs with nice fish to look at.

This is a great beach area!! Beautiful, not as beautiful as Kailua Beach Park, but holds it own. The only downside is that there is only one way in and one way out of Lanikai. . .on busy days there can be lots of traffic and very little parking. There is no parking lot, only parking in residential areas. But,... More

Very quiet beach with no hotels, restaurants, or shops - just beach houses. Water is clear and the perfect temperature for swimming. Pack a lunch and spend the day. This beach is an easy walk from Kailua beach park.

A public beach in front of a residential community. Respect the home owners. One way road in front of beachfront homes with multiple access ways. Try and find a parking spot 2 to 3 blocks away, don't park on someone's lawn and if you park on the one way street, don't park over or on the bike path line. Usually... More

This is our second trip to this wonderful beach. We went there in 2011 for the first time. Equally happy four years later. Five things to make the most out of the visit: 1. Go on a weekday. 2. Arrive earlier in the morning. 9-930am is a good time. 3. Bring a beach umbrella and beach chairs. 4. Bring snorkel... More

This is a nice quiet local beach. There are also cold water showers for rinsing and bathrooms. If you are there early there may be a spot under a tree in the shade. The waves here can be big enough to body surf or boogie board but they are not too large. Very family friendly beach.
