This was my favorite beach to go to when I lived on Oahu. The water is calm, the sand is powdery, and the view of the Mokes (two islands in the background) are amazing. Since the water is almost always calm, this is a good place to go paddle boarding to flat island (off of Kailua beach) or kayaking to... More

It may have been the day (Saturday Oct.31) but we had no trouble parking, or getting to & from the Lanikai Beach. It was a short beach but long in length. We went to Kailua beach afterward to use the facilities.

Unbelievable views and the water is to die for. Soft sand, calm waters and you can kayak out to the the twin islands. Mainly locals and not too busy. Highly recommend!

Stunning!: soft sand, warm aquamarine sea, islet views, and if your lucky a sea turtle. The hallucinogenic Hawaiian colors can be found here in the carnival fish, birds and incredibly blue-toned water. Very possibly one of the best beaches in the world--of which I know.

To the left side of the reef A (looking out from the beach), there are areas you can see / swim with sea turtles.

This is a gorgeous and not crowded beach! The sand is white, and the water is turquoise! The waves are also small so its ideal for young ones but further down has bigger waves ideal for surfers. The water is clear and all sandy in the water!! To get to this beach there are small walkways that you just walk... More

This place is beautiful and away from tourists please visit during the week days and in the evening so it is less crowded in the morning could be full of Japanese tourists. Enjoy the clear waters here and the clean sands, highly recommended.

If you are looking for white powdery sandy beach, Kailua or Lanikai. Forget Waikiki. You need a car to get here but it is worth it.

Lanikai Beach is a sight, one of Oahu's Beauties. Can't get enough of the sand, ocean and people. Kailua best town on the island.

Picture perfect soft powdery white sand, clear blue water with gently breaking waves and two small islands in the distance.... This beach is one of the most beautiful and picturesque on Oahu. The only negative is that parking legally can be difficult. Parking fines can be steep if you are caught parking illegally, so read the signs carefully. There are... More
