Lanikai beach is located on the east coast of Oahu, the next beach south of Kailua Beach. Lanikai is hard to find, access is via a one way street and then there are a few of paths between houses to gain access to the beach. No parking unless you are lucky to find a slim road shoulder. No toilets, lifeguard... More

This beach has it all. It is the perfect mix of white sand, a beautiful backdrop of mountains and small islands, incredible shallow-water snorkeling and enough motion for outrigger racing and even some surfing. We went on a Thursday afternoon, and we had all the space we wanted. The water was crystal clear and the current was so light you... More

I saw this spot in numerous magazines for one of the top beaches in the world. It's beautiful but I don't think it's one of the top in the world. Getting there is a pain as are most places on Oahu but that is part of the deal. The sand is different than the rest of the island, much finer... More

Everyone who tells you it's the ultimate Hawaii beach, one that looks like a postcard, is not lying. The sand is white, the water is clear and you can enter in between the home, kind of like the way you can reach the beach in Venice, LA. But, and it's a Hugh but, getting there on a one-way road with... More

Lanikai Beach (boat ramp) used to be our favorite spot to go sit, relax, visit with our friends, swim...every time we came to Oahu. Sadly, not so much anymore. Don't get me wrong, it is still as beautiful as ever, but it has become a huge tourist spot. Yes, we are technically Haole's, but we stay with our friends who... More

If you want to find a beach that looks like the Hawaii you imagine then this is the place to go. Soft white sand, warm calm waters and beautiful flora backed by beach front elegance.

Super beautiful beach. The sand is perfectly white, the water is crystal clear blue, a slight breeze to keep you cool. Just a beautiful beach. It's known how wonderful it is now so it does get a bit crowded but its worth going to still just to see its beauty.

Amazing soft dusty sand, different areas with different characters, and even though there will be many people you will feel alone enough to enjoy it. Beautiful sunrises here.

Really nice beach and since it is a rather short trip from Waikiki ( about 35 min depending on traffic of course) this is a place you definitely should visit. Heads up about parking dough ! Go early and park at Kailua Beach Park , a short walk to Lanikai and you don't have to worry about parking tickets. Bring... More

Despite the amount of people that crowd the beach now days, its still the best beach in the world. Warm, clear waters
