This beach is just heaven! With no main entrance, access is just between houses on a residential street. I loved this as it was a nice break from the busy place that is Waikiki Beach! I came from the Kailua Beach Park on bike which was lovely and easy. I was able to find my own spot on this beautiful... More

It was ‘very’ hard to find and parking on the streets gets crowded. There was a small sign for the beach in between two houses that marked the narrow path to the beach. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth the initial hassle. The beach is really nice - really nice. We were there on a sunny day in October and it... More

If I can give it 3.5 star, that would probably be the most accurate rating here. I must preface by saying that I had already been to Kailua beach before this, so was not as impressed with the scenery as someone who see it after coming from Waikiki beach would be. The beach is really good for sunbathing when it's... More

Lanikai Beach is very beautiful, with white sand, turquoise water and a view of the picturesque Mokulua islands (the Mokes). Unfortunately, it has become very crowded, especially on summer weekends. If you're on vacation and have a choice, visit during the week. Parking can be especially challenging on busy days. Be sure to park completely off the street and out... More

My favorite place in Oahu! Lanikai beach and the mokoluas are the most awesome place to be.I love coming here and swin all day! Great sand and views all around. Pretty little place to hang. And if you have time to rent a paddle board or kayak, you should go swimming at the tide pool on the mokolua on the left.Great adventure!

To lanikai beach in kailua, Oahu, HI. I've visited other tropical areas but Lanikai is the best, I'm always comparing every place to lanikai and they never match up. If you're looking to be a tourist, go to Waikiki. If you're looking to relax, exercise and hang out, head to lanikai.

Visited Lanikai Beach as a stop while kayaking to the Moku'lua Islands. The beach is beautiful, and apparently used to have less visitors, but it was very crowded the day we stopped to snorkel. As a result, the water close to shore was quite cloudy and visibility was poor. The waves were fairly calm further out (maximum of 2-3 foot... More

Kayaked here from Kailua beach. So beautiful! much much prettier than Waikiki. I wish I had stayed in this area instead of Waikiki. You can snorkel here too & it's great. Lots of corals & fishes. You have to swim further from shore though (compared to Sharks cove). Sunset here is beautiful also. Love it!

This was such a fine beach with gorgeous views and we were so glad we stayed here rather than Waikiki
