The parking lot fills up quickly as there are very few stalls. You can park on a side street and walk across to access this beach. Sandy bottom with occassionally good boogie board and small kine surf waves. The bonus about this place is the fact that it does have bathroom facilities with showers. No life guards though so keep... More

wonderful white sands of Kailua beaches. There are restrooms and showers available. The only drawback here is that there is no Lifeguard and the parking lot is usually full (so one needs to park on nearby residential side-streets).

The beach is never too crowded, so you will find a spot on the beach to relax. The water cleanliness varies, so you might luck out and get a nice day. There are no waves, so don't bring a surf or boogie board. There is a decent parking lot, but will fill up on Sundays.

Nice small beach park in Kailua. Parking is limited. The beach is one of the best. Nice for sunbathing, swimming, watching kite surfers and boogie boarding.

This is a top beach in Kailua. Get there early to get parking. Bathrooms and outdoor showers available.

You can't go wrong with this beach. Wonderful for kids, great place to practice snorkeling (not much to see, but good water to try it) or body boarding, wind during etc. Tons of space. Bathrooms are really poorly maintained.

Hard to get here, hard to park, no waves, but few people. It's in the middle of the bay, so fewer kite surfers, but still a lot of people in the area. You have to move car at 6 pm if you managed to get one of the 10 stalls.

This beach was about a five minute drive from where we stayed, and it was the absolute epitome of what I imagined a Hawaiian beach to be. We are here a couple of weeks after Spring Break, and I found it to be mostly empty on a weekday, just a handful of people exercising in the morning hours. My five-year-old... More
