After driving around the island, it's clear: this beach was by far the nicest on Oahu to spend a day in the water with the kids. Parking might be a challenge.

While shopping we expressed our concern of missing the sun set at the ocean. We turned and there it was across the street-a popular spot to watch it. Wow nothing like a Hawaiian sunset! Also before or after cross the street to stop in the KALAMA VILLAGE-a bargain hunters delight. Mark Tiki Chic Boutique was willing to give a discount... More

We walked here for the sunset last night and it was a nice spot, however there was only 1 picnic table we could see closer to the toilets/showers and no view of the water. We didn't see any benches or even rocks to sit on. Only option was the sand. The toilet was locked when we left at 6 ish.

can be tough to find parking and they close early except for 1 night a week. Warm water and safe place to hang out.

This is a little "locals beach" with a small parking lot, showers and restrooms. There is no lifeguard at this beach. The parking lot closes around sunset. Kalama's, as the locals call it, has gentle waves on most days and is a kid-friendly beach where kids can learn to boogieboard. Watch out for jellyfish (Portugese-man-o-war) on very windy days. We stopped here on our way out of town and Hawaii, we killed some time here, Not the best park, not a great beach, for snorkeling it looks like, but seems a lot of locals there, not bad, but not great either

The beach is hugged by beach homes and magnificent mountains The water is so many vibrant colors there is no way any cell phone camera can capture the beauty of the different colors , no seaweed ,sand finer and cleaner than any sugar . In one section of the opening to the beach there are A Lot of parachute surfers... More

This is a great beach. It's decently wide, quiet in the mornings, and full of fun people going sailboarding, kiteboarding, kayaking... you name it. Every morning we'd stroll the beach, enjoy the sunrise, and meet new doggies out with their owners for a morning stroll. The surf is pretty calm, and we got lots of swimming in. Loved every minute.

Really nice beach park with great restroom facility and showers. Wonderful shade trees near beach to sit in the shaded area if you like shade. Nice swimming. Overall my favorite beach park.

Beautiful beach, clean and fresh and the water was lovely and clear. The waves are great for body boards. Lovely views.
