It's a beach in Hawaii, how can you not like that. There were sections of the beach that were a little steeper so the walking was a bit angled. There are lots of people that go to this beach but it's not too bad earlier in the day. But there are a lot of people everywhere it seems on Oahu.

Staying in the area and making the daily constitutional a walk along the length of the beach is essential for all those trying to escape from a hectic work schedule for a while. The community is friendly and continues onto the beach, where there is a lot to see.

I have been coming to Kailua Beach Park for years. It is a gorgeous narrow beach with minimal waves making it great for families with small children. The calm waters also make it a great place to Kayak and there are plenty of rental places within walking distance. The beach park has limited parking so get there early. Mornings are... More

Great beach for people watching. Not too crowded, clean, and very pleasant. Both shade and sun available.

This beach is my all time best beach I've visited ever, with fine white sand and a gentle slope that let's you wade in the water for a long distance. Beneath the water, there is just more sand and no rocks or anything hard to step on. There is a constant breeze that keeps you cool and kitesurfers and windsurfers... More

Breathtaking views, comfortable sand and plenty of trees to provide shade. The afternoon can get pretty cool and the water is a bit chilly, but we enjoyed watching the sail surfing on the crystal clear blue water.

Relaxed beach for families, couples or teens. Great area of white sand for sunbathing, shallow wadding before the beach drops for snorkling, canoing or other ocean activities.

We have visited some of the world's most beautiful beaches, and this one is right up there. Crystal water, very swimmable, the finest white sand I have ever seen, and spectacular vistas. A heavenly setting if ever there was one, and protected enough from the surf that you can really swim. Perfect picnic place if you were clever enough to... More

Want to getaway from touristy Waikiki for the day? This is your beach. The drive up the coast or through the Pali Highway are both pleasant and quick (during non-rush hour times). This beach is less crowded, more locals go here for the day. Sandy white beaches with medium waves that are ok for every swimmer. There isn't much to... More

There are calm waters for your children and adults alike. It is very crowded though with limited parking so plan accordingly.
