Most beautiful beach!

Kailua is a fantastic beach . The water is beautiful and has a color like nowhere else. The sand is soft and clean. Good people watching, too. Get there early. Enjoy!

For hundreds of years, this beach has been special to everyone who lives or visits here. The waters are blue and the beach filled with lovely sand. There are places nearby to get food and drink as well. This being said it's important to remember safety always and that visiting any of the beaches in Hawai'i is a privilege which... More

Beautiful! Don't skip this beach. Water is the most stunning blue. There is a little restaurant across from the beach that's is amazing. It's a great beach for kids and simply floating in paradise.

A nice safe beach for children and be aware of the kite surfing areas of the beach. Because of it's popularity can be difficult to find parking especially on weekends. Also don't leave any valuables in your vehicle and always keep an eye on your things while enjoying the beach.

Nothing like the northshore beaches and a lot more beach goers. A fairly long and wide beautiful white sandy beach with little or no surf. Great for families with kids. Most beach activities (canoe, kayak, snorkel, swimming, paddle boarding) may be done where. Far from being ideal for surfing or boogie boarding. A great beach to learn paddle boarding and... More

We reviewed our list of must see and do and realized on our last day that we had not gone here. We are so glad we took the time to go here. It is really pretty. They do have benches but not in the shade. There was some equipment scooping sand and walling off a fresh water stream from the... More

This is one of my favorite beaches in Hawaii! It is not over crowded, the waves are calm. There are bathrooms & showers on site. There are nearby shops where you can rent beach equipment- kayaks, surf boards/body boards, etc. There is also parking available! Beauitful views surrounding the beach! I highly recommend this beach! It is better than waikiki... More

This is the best beach I have been on.The sand is powder and the water is a gradual slope with a firm sand bottom. You can find shade if you want and still be next to someone who prefers to be in the sun. A beautiful walking beach, especially at sunrise. I could live happily ever after with a routine of... More

Make sure to get there between 9 and 10am. Parking was easy to find at this time. When we left around noon, parking was scarce. Prepare to be blown away by clear waters, soft sand and take in the occasional windsurfers putting on a show. Leave your beach spot and take a walk. Perfect for families (we had a 6... More
