Nice little falls, but crowded when we were there on a Monday. The walk is a great sort of jungle tromp over roots and crossing the stream a few times. Got my shoes wet from slipping on a crossing. Could be a little dangerous after a rain if the stream rises much. Really felt like I was in a jungle...with... More

Read about this hike in Oahu Revealed and decided to go today. We had had some rain earlier in the day and the trail was extremely muddy and somewhat dangerous in sections. There were also lots of mosquitoes so if you do go, make sure you bring bug spray. You will also very likely get wet as it is very... More

I did this hike 10 years ago and loved it was a total fan of it and it was in my dreams for years. I came back and did it again with a friend and we felt like little ants going up and down with so many people using the trail and miss using the trail. It was frustrating and... More

This one is muddy, muddy, muddy, but I like it. On a muddy day, it takes about 45 minutes to walk from the trailhead to the waterfall (maybe 25-30 on a dry day). Don't come here unless it is ok to get your shoes a little dirty. I have encountered a number of people on the trail who don't know... More

Went with a group of feiends- one was a local so directions were not an issue. It had been raining a lot and so it was so muddy and slippery! That being said....A lot of mosquitoes were out! The waterfall was beautiful and was a refreshing swim after the hike!

Directions: Take H-1 to the Pali Highway. Proceed over the Pali, through the tunnels and down the hill. Continue past Castle Junction, then at the 3rd traffic light turn right on A`uloa Road. . As the road forks, stay to your left side on Maunawili Road. At the end of Maunawili Road, turn right on Kelewina Street and find parking... More

Great finish to a long, exhausting hike. We went after heavy rain and the water was very rough and muddy. If you go after it rains, make sure you know what you're doing, the falls and creek can be dangerous. Highly recommend.

This place was awesome! Great hike into the falls...it seemed like it was just a couple of miles, but it was alot of up and down, and LOTS of mud which made it really fun! There are a couple of small creek crossings, some pretty good stair step climbs but just about when you're there, you crest this hill and... More

GREEN Plants EVERYWHERE! Beautiful, but slick as it rains here often. Think of hardened mud that has dew on it. The lush rainforest and cool temperatures was very refreshing.

This is a relatively Easy Hike with exception of being muddy and slippery. You are hiking on a wide trail with many tree roots and mud most of the way. You have to cross the stream a couple of times before you get to the main attraction, "the Maunawili Falls" The falls fall into a moderately deep pool with cold... More
