This review is a bit late, but our family travelled to Oahu, Hawaii in April 2014. My husband and I had wanted to take surf lessons but they were all so expensive. In the end we found an excellent living social deal for Blue Rush Surf School. We got a bit lost trying to find the surf spot (Puanea Point)... More

First time surfing? That's no problem if your riding the waves of the North Shore with surf instructors Matt and Brock. My family and I have never been surfing before so being able to experience our first time with Matt was great. We all had a awesome time and would love to do it again, but only if its with... More

We had a group of 13 and had a total blast. Matt, Brock, Mr. Hollywood and Franklin were awesome. Everyone surfed and rode some waves. Ages ranged from 12 to 50. We all learned so much and all are hooked. If you want to surf, YOU MUST CALL MATT. This was the highlight of our trip. The location on the... More

My family, ranging in ages 58-12, all had blast learning to surf with Matt and Brock. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the waves were perfect for beginners. I have to say it was a little more of an upper body workout than we thought it would be! My husband contacted Matt the day before to confirm our reservation and... More

I had an awesome experience surfing on the North Shore. Matt was a great instructor and taught me a ton in just an hour. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to surf.

Had an absolute ball with Matthew and Raymond a few weeks ago! Stood up on my first wave! The wind had just changed to onshore so the paddling was a bit hard but the boys were never far away and towed us out to the waves when we needed help! Came home and told everyone I'd surfed the north shore... More

This was a great experience. Matthew was able to get everyone up on the first wave. He knows what to look for. I watched many beginner surfers struggling out there but having an expert was invaluable because we were surfing instead of paddling. If you go to Oahu, look no further that Blue Rush Surf School.

My wife and I met up with Matt and Brock on North Shore for some surfing instruction. The pair were outstanding in their laid back approach and style of teaching. Their energy was limitless and they made every effort to help and point us in the best way to learn this amazing sport. We are from Texas and our waves... More

We were lucky enough to run into Matthew and his dog Rabbit one morning at Sharks Cove and discovered he taught surfing in Haleiwa. Later that day I took a lesson with him and had a blast. The following day my 8 year old daughter took a tandem surf lesion with Matthew who prepared wetsuit and life jacket for her... More
