As others reviewers write, this is an awesome view and incredible wonder of nature. Probably more people know about 'pali' (Hawai'ian term for sea cliffs) from the movies shot on Kaua'i, such as Jurassic Park, and filmed from the air - often the best or only way. Tiny Moloka'i is said to have the world's tallest sea cliffs. It's very... More

The northern side of Molokai has the highest ocean cliffs in the world. Some as high as 4,000 feet. The views from the outlook are incredible.....breathtaking. Beautiful.

cruised the North Shore on a friend's boat. No other humans around! Not one boat. Only saw us and the majestic natural creations.

My wife and I rode out some abandoned roads off of 480 and got spectacular view to the east and the west. I would give you more detail, but nothing was marked. We just headed west toward the end of 480 and kept making rights (north) toward to beach/cliffs. One of the roads took us past tons of abandoned cars... More

The pali along the North Coast of the Island of Molokai are the tallest sea cliffs in the world. Some of them tower as high as 4,000 above sea level, intertwined with deep beautiful valleys and highlighted by numerous waterfalls, one of them, Papalauea, has a 1200-foot cascade. The lighhouse marking the Kalaupapa Peninsula was the brightest in the world,... More

We saw this coast from an air tour and from a ground tour. Awesome views. Coming from the Virginia Atlantic coast where the land meets the sea at sea level, this was amazingly different. Beautiful!

We enjoyed our trip there, but want to warn travelers that it isn't like any other island in the Hawaiian chain. Strongly recommend the mule trip to the colony.

Since I suffer vertigo I did not go completely out to the edge......yikes. But the view I did get was spectacular. The windsong throught the pine trees was comforting.

An unbelievably beautiful hike down the tallest sea cliffs in the world. A grueling trek with 26 switchbacks and 3.5 miles of stairs. Be sure to take extra water and look for the strawberry guavas near the top of the cliffs. No one can enter Kalaupapa without a sponsor or tour guide but once you enter be ready for one... More
