A great place to get away from the Maui crowds... rolling brooks, streams, lush vegetation and local plants.... tucked away and close to the 2nd wettest spot on the planet- Puukukui....

Great little spot, but your missing the real beauty if you don't jump the barriers at the lookout and start to hike in toward the needle. It should take you about 3 hours round trip, and the real prize comes at the end of the hike at the top of the hill.

This stunning piece of scenery is so close to the city in Maui. It is such an impressive landscape and the slight detour on our way to the airport was worth it . If you have some time to kill pre flight and you have a car - do it via this attraction

It is such a beautiful vally. The slopes are steep and it makes such views. Every time I go I hike a different trail. Dont ask the people working they will only tell you to stay on the paved trails. If you do that you would miss the Tableland Trail and the Iao Stream Trail. They both are a must... More

Worth the trip. You can't see beauty like this hanging around the pool. Take a camera and be ready for an easy hike.

We enjoyed our trip to this infamous Iao needle.... and the little park with a 0.5 mile walk that showed some flora typical in Maui. Interesting to read about the native battle that happened here.... sad facts of history.... :(

Nice gardens and some views but nothing special. Very nice side trip if you are in the area and are not pushed for time

Hadn't been to this part of the island in the past. The IAO Needle historical area was quite a nice surprise! What a beautiful part of the island! Great place for pics! Would definitely recommend!
