We booked the morning trip and had a great time at molokini seeing lots of things. The special rafts with the viewing box was great for my 4 year old who did not want to snorkel but still wanted to see the fish. The glass bottom are was also a great place for the kids. Food was excellent and the... More

Me and my friend went on the afternoon trip last week. We included the bbq meal at extra cost. The boat is on slip 80 right round the other side of the harbour. We went out to Coral Gardens as we were informed Molokini had high winds and rough seas and felt it was best to avoid that area. We... More

We scheduled our Molokini snorkle trip with Four Winds, and were looking forward to our time at Molokini. As we made our way out the wind really picked up and Captian Dan made the smart, informed decision to avoid Molokini and head to Coral Gardens instead. Based on the winds we were having at approximately 8AM we would have been... More

Went with grand children of various ages. Boat was crowded and had to stand a lot. The boogie boards old and worn and no window to view fish. Not suitable to view fish. They had 2 lay flat plastic body boats for small children.

Aloha Vincere, I'm sincerely sorry you didn't enjoy the trip. We actually have five see-boards (very stable boards with recessed viewing windows allowing perfect viewing of fish). They may have been in use by other people. We also have an entire glass bottom viewing room on the Four Winds II. Our boogie boards for floatation only. Even full, our boat... More

I went out on the Four Winds’ boat from Ma’alaea Harbor for an afternoon snorkel to Coral Gardens on 6/3/15. I had a really great time. Lunch was included and very tasty. I live here and I go out on a lot of boats, and I have to say, this was absolutely the most comfortable catamaran I’ve been on so... More

Molokini crater was crowded but good first snuba experience. Some people were very scared but Chet was great instructor. Even better: Anna got my petrified son to snorkel! She was a genius. He went from refusing to move from his seat to snorkeling alone and going off slide. Good food, crew never stops offering you things. Yeah, there are sales... More

When I booked this trip I had very high expectations especially for the price I paid (~$88/person). This was the one trip I looked forward to going to the most out of everything! I looked through the website and everything sounded amazing, and I was super excited considering all the great pictures I saw and reviews. However, I was a... More

Aloha Stephanie and Mahalo for taking the time to share your experience. It looks like over-all you had a good time; we sure hope so! In your list of "Cons" you mention the treatment of the wetsuits. I wanted to assure you that these are always cleaned and sanitized after each trip; while the trip is underway, we prefer to... More

We loved this snorkeling excursion out to Molokini Crater. The crew was fantastic and the water was clear. Saw lots of beautiful and exotic fish on the 7am trip. I believe they also offer an afternoon trip, but we noticed the wind and waves pick up in the late morning - so perhaps if you want a better chance at... More

We loved this morning excursion and I can't imagine the later ones to be better because the weather was nice going out on the sea and the return ride with us laying out on the deck was just perfect. The check-in was super efficient and the operator appeared to know the name of everyone on the list that morning. We... More

We really wanted to go to Molokini but apparently they only go once a day in the morning and it was already too late. We were advised to go on their afternoon trip to Coral Gardens and it was a nice warm day. Staff were very friendly and you could pay $8 for a BBQ lunch but we'd already eaten... More

Aloha, Wow; I'm so sorry you had a less than stellar experience at Coral Gardens! This is actually a spot that has been voted among the top 10 in the U.S by Conde' Nast for 11 years in a row. You are correct, it has gained the name from the diverse, colorful coral formations and tropical fish found there; the... More
