For almost 20 years Valley Isle Excursions has been providing a wonderful, eco-friendly, road to Hana tour. This tour encompasses not only the Hana highway but all around Mt. Haleakala's going as close to the sea as we can. This tour in our custom cruisers begins with hotel or condo pickup, breakfast, a tour thru the rainforest, a picnic in Hana, numerous stops and brings you back to your hotel in time for dinner.

Our driver, Joe, was an amazing g fountain of knowledge regarding the history, culture, and botany of the Island. He kept things moving at a reasonable, yet relaxing pace. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day in which to enjoy the spectacular scenery, and as others have said, letting someone who is competent do the driving is THE way... More

My wife and I went on this excursion as were told by many people who have been to Hawaii that we should definitely take "the road to Hana journey" when we visit Maui. We were also told by some of our friends that Valley Isle Excursions is the best tour company for this trip. It is $121.99 per person. This... More

You get to see so much more if you don't drive yourself. Captian David was Great. We had a light breakfast that was provided and a nice lunch of chicken, salad, pasta salad and bread. It was very good. Also along the way Captian David provided us with fruits, banana bread and drinks of water, and cokes. Plenty of bathroom... More

Visited Maui for our 40th anniversary, and the Road to Hana tour with Valley Isle Excursions was the highlight of our trip. The van was comfy, the scenery was beautiful, and we saw a number of waterfalls along the way. Although it was a long day, the time flew by because it was so interesting. And really enjoyed the lunch... More

Recently booked an all day tour on road to Hana on Maui. It was a very informative tour with a local born and raised tour guide that knew the area and it's history. The two things that I would recommend they change are: Rotating seats. If you are last to be picked up you are stuck in the less desirable... More

We booked the tour along the Road to Hana early on in our vacation and by the time we got closer to the date, the less interested I was in getting on a bus for the entire day. Friends who had done the trip by car, we telling us that they wouldn't do the tour ever every again. We still... More

If you plan on traveling the road to Hana then I would suggest taking a tour. We had Kione who was very knowledgeable and had a sense of humor (adult). It was great for my husband as he was actually able to see the sights instead of doing the driving. I have to say I was never nervous on this... More

Our family of 7 travelled with Ernie who was an excellent driver & very informative since he's been doing it for over 20 years. I live in Colorado I take the Shelf Road & Phantom Canyon up to property in Cripple Creek from buddy's house in Pueblo & if you've done these then this is what they call "similar" with... More

and I have been on a few! Do NOT take your car, you will be white-knuckling it and not getting to see any of the beautiful scenery. This tour is very good value for your money. Firstly, they give you a continental breakfast and then you are off. The bus is clean, well maintained and stocked with a cooler filled... More

this was our fourth trip to Hana, and our first around the backside of Haleakela. Always amazed at the different things one can see on the same trip. Capt. Dave made the trip extremely enjoyable. Not only did he know the history of the island, and the stories of the places we stopped, and the horticulture of the area (as... More
