On this trip we only went to the gift shop because we had seen the ocean center many times. My wife calls the gift shop one of the best attraction gift shop she has ever visited and that is saying something. It is free to visit the gift shop but the ocean center is great if you have a few... More

A fabulous display of fish and underwater life. very well displayed. Very busy place so get there early. A little pricey but what isn't today. A great gift shop and easy access to other shops and restaurants.

Our family was divided about going to the aquarium. We've been to multiple aquariums and we weren't sure it would be worth the money. I can happily say it was worth it! Yes there's the usual, tide pool with sea animals you can touch, a room with reef fish and identifying information, but the shark tunnel is worth it. It's... More

This aquarium is nicely structured and well maintained. There are several small tanks and various fish native to Hawaii to see. There is a sea turtle exhibit, shark tank, and a glass tunnel that is really fun for the kids. Benches are available throughout in case you want to rest. Get there early as it gets very busy in the... More

We visited with our son's family, including grandchildren (ages 6 and 8) and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. The tropical fish tanks are amazing and so much fun to observe. There were also sea turtles and sharks, coral and shells. There were several interactive spots for the kids to try. Lots of information with docents to answer questions. The coolest part... More

The aquarium while informative was quite small. I'm from Dallas, so maybe my opinion is a little biased based on our aquarium here. So I felt that this one was missing a lot. You basically walk in, get your picture taken, and walk through a tunnel. Then view and read about the various different fish species, sharks, and other sea... More

This is a well laid out and well presented aquarium. The best feature is the glass tunnel where you become one with the fish in the great tank. They have various tanks that are well lit and a gret sea turtle exhibit. Well worth the visit.

I'm not a big museum/aquarium display person, but I enjoyed our visit here. the exhibits are well laid out and very informative, it was a great opportunity to learn about the local marine life and ecosystem. The staff was very available and very knowledgeable, and I got the answers to several questions I'd been wondering about, and help identifying some... More

We have been the Maui Aquarium at least 3 times now, most recently June 2014. Our kids have enjoyed it immensely each time. This trip, there were marine biologists stationed in a few spots throughout to answer questions, and they all appeared to be very knowledgeable. The tunnel through the shark/reef tank is amazing and our group spent 45 minutes... More
