Set in the gentle hillsides of "Up-Country" Maui, Pukalani...

Set in the gentle hillsides of "Up-Country" Maui, Pukalani Country Club overlooks the Pacific Ocean and offers breath-taking panoranic views of the Valley Isle of Maui. The Pukalani Country Club is nestled at the 1,100 foot elevation level of world famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name in Hawaiian means "House of the Rising Sun" and is appropriately reflected as the golf course's logo. Pukalani's 18 holes were designed by golf course architect Bob Baldock who designed more than 69 public and private golf courses throughout the United States. The Pukalani Country Club's greenery covers nearly 160 acres. Built in 1980, the course is 6,962 yards long from the championship tees, plays to a par 72, and features 19 greens in its 18-hole layout! On hole #3, golfers may choose a tough iron shot across a ravine and into the wind for one green, or a challenging chip shot straight down to a well-trapped green several hundred feet below into the ravine. No other golf course in Hawaii can compare or offer you this unique setting and challenge of our hole #3. "Pukalani" which in Hawaiian means "Entrance to Heaven" certainly describes Pukalani Country Club!

A local course with wonderful holes and scenic bi-costal views! Not as manicured as the really high-end courses but once you play there it will be in your regular Maui golf rotation.

Your kind review of our scenic location is greatly appreciated. We have purchased new maintenance equipment and hope you will see the improvement in the manicured areas on your next visit. We will pass along your comments to our team members. Mahalo, The Management at Pukalani Country Club More

I planned a day of golf at Pukalani followed by a visit to Haleakala. I would golf at Pukalani every time I visit Maui (I definitely plan to return). The greens fees are ridiculously low and the people that work there are friendly. The course is interesting, in good shape (no it's not Kapalua- but it's also only $63!), and... More

What a gem of a golf course, so glad we found this place! it is now my favorite golf course on Maui and for the price you can't beat it $75 ea. It includes green fees, cart and club rentals (TaylorMade clubs), beautiful Vistas, large beautiful fairways, and the weather was perfect for golfing! As soon as we parked we... More

This was a nice break to the high green fees in Kapalua and Kaanapali. The staff was very nice and there were some nice views but the course conditions were poor. Fairways were spotty, greens were bad. Some of the greens were almost completely lost. It's a shame but it looks like they just don't have the money to fix... More

We golfed here Sept 24, 2015 and enjoyed our experience. It you don't mind the drive...it's past the airport, then it's a gem. Nothing fancy here. Lots of challenge for we beginners and for more experienced golfers as well. Definitely not a walking course....lots of up and downs. Very nice staff and terrific price! We happened to go just after... More

We came to Maui for a birthday and discovered this little hidden gem. I play lots of golf in NorCal so I can appreciate a good course. This was on par, pun intended, with any of the very nice courses I've played The clubhouse is not your typical one but the food is very good. The course is in great... More

The tees and greens were in good condition. The golf cart needed major maintenance but we made it thru. The clubhouse has still not been reopened and operating out of trailers after many many years. Keep hoping they will get this place back to the way it used to be.

Play golf on Maui without the resort prices!. Pukalani has a beautiful setting, cooler temperatures, and great prices. Sits on the hillside with panoramic views - 1,500 foot elevation. Wonderful. And the staff is first rate - great folks.

Had so much fun! The golf course is beautiful, as it always is, every year we come and play. Dad loves the course and usually plays multiple times when we are here. Thanks to everyone there especially Bruce, who makes our golfing experience beyond fantastic! Thanks again Pukalani we will see you next year!

I love Upcountry Maui so Pukalani was a great choice. The weather was wonderful with slight breezes. Course conditions were very good. Hole #3 was fun: Two choices for your drive (straight down or over a small canyon). The restaurant and pro shop are in temporary buildings so we look forward to returning and seeing the remodeling. Special thanks to... More
