This hike was wonderful! The guide, Randy, was very knowledgeable about Maui/Hawaii's history and culture. He took us on a very private hike that was absolutely beautiful. more

We just got back from a week on Maui, what a great break from winter in Wisconsin. One of our last days was spent with Randy from Maui Hiking Safaris. The day prior we had done the Hana Hwy and had seen many beautiful, but overpopulated waterfalls. It was such a great experience to hike to three waterfalls that we... more

I really enjoyed my four-hour hike with Maui Hiking Safaris. Randy was a great guide who took us on a trail that was off the beaten path. Once we got past the beginning of the trail, we didn't see anyone else the whole time. He also provided us with information on local history, vegetation and geology. The hiking was strenuous... more

If you're looking to go off the beaten path and really experience nature in Hawaii, this is definitely the trip for you. Randy was very hospitable and extremely knowledgeable about everything from the topography and history of the islands to the specific uses of leaves on trees. I would definitely recommend this trip and will go on it again if... more

Our guide, Randy, was very knowledgeable about everything from the history of Maui down to all the different types of plants we encountered on our trip. He also showed us which ones are safe and tasty to eat! Don't be afraid to get a little dirty, but it will definitely be worth it. We hiked along a beautiful stream and... more

Randy was great. The hikes were beautiful and off the beaten path. It was really fun to learn so much about the local botany. It absolutely make the Island come alive. I also appreciated that Randy kept our safety first and was always looking out for the group's interest. Thanks Randy! more

We did two back to back hikes with Randy on our first full day in Maui. It was an extraordinary experience for two people who lived on Oahu 40 years ago. We learned more about the Hawaiian culture and the beauty of the island while challenging ourselves hiking under Randy's tutelage! It was an excellent way to start a vacation. more

As per Randy's statement on his web site the hike was a moderate level hike and you didn't feel like you had just gone for a WALK. The sights were beautiful and the energy level required for the hike let you know you had done something without feeling like you couldn't enjoy some of the rest of your day--Thanks again... more

My wife and I and novice hikers. We really wanted more of a hike than a walk while in Maui in that we wanted a challenge. Randy suggested the half-day rainforest hike and it was perfect. The hike had some boulder scrambling, river crossings, and steeper areas to deal with. This being our first guided hike we learned a lot... more
