Did the sunrise ride. They ask you to be at the shop at 3:30, to get your gear and safety briefing. The safety briefing was excellent and they have trek bikes. Loaded in the van and headed out about 4:20 to get to the summit for a 6:10 first light and 6:55 sunrise. At this point rushed back to the... More

My fiance and I did the Sunrise Haleakala Bike tour a few days ago! We had a wonderful time! The staff there was great! They were very professional and fun at the same time! I was a little nervous about riding down but it was well worth it! I highly recommend trying this if you haven't!! :D

The staff provide good background information about riding down the Volcano crater. Equipment is good and well maintained. Riders are provided with a map and phone numbers should you need assistance. During the trip up the volcano the staff provide good helpful tips about things you might want to do during your journey down the crater. We arrived up the... More

My husband and I absolutely loved this activity. It was kinda nerve racking at the beginning, but after about 15 minutes it was fun and no problems to report. I would highly recommend this tour when you're in Maui!

Absolutely the BEST self-guided bike tour down Haleakala. Amazing experience. Joe was our guide/driver up at 4:00...he was so kind and offered a wealth of information about the island and area on the way up. Well worth the $ and the sights going down are unbeatable. M favorite was the scents of the eucalyptus and lavender. We took the leisurely... More

My husband and I don't really like group tours etc. we'd already been in the park before and this trip we just wanted to try the bike ride down the mountain. We picked a perfect day AND no one else signed up for the Express trip so we were solo! The "infamous" Remie that we've read about in other posts... More

We debated the merits of getting up at 1:45AM, driving 40 mins to Paia, etc.,etc. for several days but in the end we were soooooo glad we experienced the sunrise on Haleakula, and Maui Sunriders and our guide Remi made the experience all that much more enjoyable. The bikes, helmets and other equipment they furnish are good. (The gloves were... More

Having heard bad things about the group tours and the injuries suffered when people were hurried my wife and I wanted the freedom of a self guided tour. I have to say we struck gold with this company. A 2:15am wake for the drive to Paia wasn't as brutal as it sounds because we did this on the second morning... More

My wife and I did the summit tour with the 9:00 a.m. check-in. This company offers good quality treck bikes and equipment. We enjoyed excellent weather and we opted not to take the rain gear although it was available. The summit tour itself is really just an opportunity to take photos in the areas accessible by car near the visitor... More

My wife and I wanted a self-guided sunrise ride down Haleakala. After reading reviews and their website, we chose Maui Sunriders and are so glad that we did. They had Trek bikes with disc brakes, well maintained safety equipment, gloves, backpack with bike lock, outerwear, and a caring dedicated staff. The staff really made the difference. Natalie and Remy emphasized... More
