We've used Maui Sunriders on both of our trips to Maui- for good reason. They are professional, and safety is a first concern. They just bought a fleet of new bikes, so this ride was even better than our last. What attracted us to this company over the others is that they let you bike down Haleakala at your own... More

We did the sunrise bike tour, woke up at 2am so we could be there by 4am. Remi was our guide and he did an excellent job describing the mountain as he drove us to the top in a large van. My wife and I traveled with another couple and there was 12 of us in the van. Remi had... More

On the island or not it is absolutely worth an island hop or total trip to Paia, Maui. Best Company to go through! No company really compares to the warmth of the staff or flexibility of this bike tour.

This is a good way to see the Crater and cycle through some lovely countryside. The service is good, we left at 3am to get to the crater for sunrise at 530. It was incredibly crowded at the Crater which I didn't expect. Then we got on the bikes which are good bikes and cycled back down the mountain. We... More

We did the 9AM tour, no desire to get up at 3AM for the sunrise, but I think best way to do that is first day in from mainland. Anyway, while other tours make you go as a big group, Sunriders points you downhill and says have fun, We enjoyed the flexibility to stop when and where we wanted. Family... More

We did this adventure our first day in Hawaii. We flew in from Baltimore. So, going to bed at 7-8 pm was easy. We have 3 children, 19, 16 and 12. My son, the 19 year old and my husband rode the bikes. The rest of us rode the van down because my daughter broke her wrist 2 weeks ago.... More

Great fun riding down the mountain. Beautiful views and with minimal braking it turns out to be an exciting adventure. The ride up in the van was nauseating as the one driver went way too fast around every corners. The bikes are basically brand new and much better than any other company we saw. The go at your own pace... More

We were very satisfied with Maui Sunriders. A well run company, organised, professional and with very knowledgeable tour guides. They provided gloves, jackets and trousers (which I highly recommend you take and wear at the summit) and backpacks with bike locks. Helmets and bikes were in good condition and some helmets also had attachment for GoPro. It was absolutely freezing... More

The self guided tour is the way to go. The ride was amazing, just ask for a gel seat. We took our time and did it in less than 3hrs.

The trip was awesome, the sights were beautiful, and there were lots of great places on the way down you can stop at. One thing that made it even better was our guide, Joe, he was super informative about everything from the history/volcanoes/wildlife/plants to inside information on what's good to see/experience on the island. If you're planning a trip to... More
