It was a bucket list item accomplished...a twofer for me. Watching the sunrise from the peak and riding down Haleakala with my daughter. It was well organized and the equipment was fine. We dressed warm enough and was able to enjoy without the cold taking too much away. Maui Sunriders was probably the lowest cost of the bunch and looking... More

Temperature will be under 40 degrees with HIGH winds. Bring blankets from your rental place. Seriously. You need them. So cold and windy at the top, but so worth it. So, bring a blanket for each person, and if you are riding the bike down, the tour guide will take your extra stuff to the shop. This tour was great.... More

Staff was excellent. I rented a bike for a solo trip and was provided with rain gear, bike lock, tool kit, spare tube, a laminated map, list of phone numbers and a backpack to put it all in. They put a rack on the rental car for me and I was on my way. Bikes are fairly new Trek Marlin... More

Great tour! Seeing the sunrise over Haleakala crater was a breathtaking view. Taking the sunrise tour does require an extremely early wakeup. We had Remy as our tour guide and he made it quite easy to stay up and focused on the drive up to the top. He was a very knowledgeable and humorous guide as well. It's worth it... More

Did the sunrise ride. They ask you to be at the shop at 3:30, to get your gear and safety briefing. The safety briefing was excellent and they have trek bikes. Loaded in the van and headed out about 4:20 to get to the summit for a 6:10 first light and 6:55 sunrise. At this point rushed back to the... More

My fiance and I did the Sunrise Haleakala Bike tour a few days ago! We had a wonderful time! The staff there was great! They were very professional and fun at the same time! I was a little nervous about riding down but it was well worth it! I highly recommend trying this if you haven't!! :D

The staff provide good background information about riding down the Volcano crater. Equipment is good and well maintained. Riders are provided with a map and phone numbers should you need assistance. During the trip up the volcano the staff provide good helpful tips about things you might want to do during your journey down the crater. We arrived up the... More

My husband and I absolutely loved this activity. It was kinda nerve racking at the beginning, but after about 15 minutes it was fun and no problems to report. I would highly recommend this tour when you're in Maui!

Absolutely the BEST self-guided bike tour down Haleakala. Amazing experience. Joe was our guide/driver up at 4:00...he was so kind and offered a wealth of information about the island and area on the way up. Well worth the $ and the sights going down are unbeatable. M favorite was the scents of the eucalyptus and lavender. We took the leisurely... More
