But the bag they provided for our ride down the mountain busted open and my husband and I lost our camera somewhere along the way. All in all, this is an experience that we would highly recommend. We opted for the sunrise tour, which yes, you do have to get up early to beat the sun up, but it was... More

Our group of 10 adults (5 couples) went on the morning trip (not the sunrise) with Maui Sunriders Bike Co. on Sept. 13, 2014. We are glad that we chose them for our experience. They were very helpful in getting us ready for the trip, not only in the shop but also with extra information as we went up in... More

This is one of two companies that does unguided cycle trips from Haleakala at sunrise. Very laid back, lots of info on the way up, take as long as you like on the way down. Paia vibe on the volcano! Definitely worth getting up for.

There are a ton of companies offering the sunrise bike ride down the volcano. We decided to go with Maui Sunrider's and we were so glad that we did. The price was a better value. The equipment was in great shape and seemed more apt to handle the ride down than what we saw other companies providing. Our driver that took... More

After researching a number of companies that provided similar tours, we settled with Maui Sunriders. This was primarily because we called to clarify some questions and Maui Sunriders seemed to be the only company that could answer them with any level of confidence. We took the Summit Tour which basically consists of being driven to the summit of the Haleakala... More

I just wanted to thank everyone for setting me up for a wonderful day biking down the volcano! I rented one bike and they helped set me up with tremendous expertise. I did the self ride where they attached their bike rack to my rental car and supplied me with a helmet, rain jacket, rain pants, tool kit, spare bike... More

I was very hesitant in doing the bike down the volcano. However, after doing it I am so glad I did.. I only wish that we had at least 1hour at the summit.. I think 5minutes once the sunrises is not enough at all! These guys do unguided tours and this is the best way by far to do the... More

The booking was easy, the price is right, the gear is complete and safe, and the guide, Natalie, was knowledgeable and friendly. If you want to cycle down Haleakala at your own pace after viewing a magical moment sunrise atop an ancient volcano, this is the company for you. I didn't want crappy coffee and a stale donut which will... More

This was my favorite activity on Maui! We chose the express tour and LOVED IT! Maui Sunriders provided us with everything we needed for a fun and safe trip. It was a nice & informative van ride up to the staging area and a spectacular ride down. The views are awesome! Since you ride at your own pace, we stopped... More

When we started looking for bike trips down Haleakala, we were nervous about tours as they don't offer much freedom. Maui sunriders gives you the best of both worlds- a ride to the top, with no worry about driving up a mountain on your own in the dark- and a bike down that is at your own pace. The guides... More
