This is the third time my husband and I have biked down Haleakala, but the first time we've done it without a guide, and the first time with the kids, 10 & 13. The rental place is easy to find, parking is free, and we were checked in, sized up for bikes, helmets, and rain coats we didn't end up... More

We did the mid morning express ride and everything was perfect, "staff, equipment, instructions and weather". My wife (66) is very nervous and cautious about activities like this, she was very comfortable, enjoyed the entire day and is ready to go again!

I read the reviews on tripadvisor/yelp and decided to choose maui sunriders. Best decision I made by a mile! I'll get to the mile explanation later. The sunrise tour starts early, but I was still on mainland time so not a big deal. Joe and Remy checked us in, briefed us, outfitted us with rain gear, gloves, helmets, backpacks and... More

Maui Sunriders is an excellent company for a sunrise tour of Haleakala Summit. The give the bare essentials for the experience (equipment, tour, bike down) and but their price reflects that. Personally, I didn't need a ride to their shop and brought my own snacks so this wasn't a problem. We met at 3:15 am where we filled out paper... More

My husband and I heard to do this early in our trip, so we did it our first morning. It worked out great for us because we got up at our normal time to shower and get ready. Our guides we Joe and Roy. We rode in Roy's van and he was very informative about things going on around the... More

Maui sunriders provided a wonderful experience for us to ride down from the crater. The ride was a nice break from spending our days at the beach and in the water. We did the summit tour. Equipment: The bikes were trek which was much better than some other companies bikes we saw. We had windbreakers, backpacks, downhill helmets and bike... More

We did the Express Ride where they gear you up with bikes, jackets and backpacks, then drive you up to the entrance of the volcano park and point you downhill. We skipped the 3am trip to the see the sun rise. The bike crew was very pleasant. The ride up in a van was fun and the driver pretty much... More

Maui Sunriders were great! This was a self-guided bike tour down the crater. The staff was great and helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves.

It was a bucket list item accomplished...a twofer for me. Watching the sunrise from the peak and riding down Haleakala with my daughter. It was well organized and the equipment was fine. We dressed warm enough and was able to enjoy without the cold taking too much away. Maui Sunriders was probably the lowest cost of the bunch and looking... More

Temperature will be under 40 degrees with HIGH winds. Bring blankets from your rental place. Seriously. You need them. So cold and windy at the top, but so worth it. So, bring a blanket for each person, and if you are riding the bike down, the tour guide will take your extra stuff to the shop. This tour was great.... More
