We had a fairly big group (7 friends) and were able to schedule online easily and get everyone in the same trip. The guys were super helpful, knowledgeable, and well prepared. We all had a great time and felt prepared for everything by the staff. We didn't want a 'guided tour' - we tend to peal off into different groups,... More

We were really looking forward to the bike ride from the summit of the volcano, Haleakala. The morning we were scheduled to ride the weather was grey and drizzly, but we felt tough and decided to head to Paia for our tour. That morning we got a friendly call from Maui Sunriders giving us a full weather report on the... More

My husband and I did the sunrise tour with Maui Sunriders and had a great trip. Remy was our tour guide and gave us lots of interesting information on the drive up as well as suggestions on breakfast spots and places to stop. He came out and took everyone's pictures during the sunrise. We left very quickly after sunrise to... More

This was the best trip ever! Our tour guide, Joe, was so informative and full of useful knowledge. He gave us so many rips on where to eat, what to do and where to snorkle. He also knew so much about the island. The sunrise was beautiful and the ride down on the bikes, unbelievable!!! We picked this tour so... More

This is a great outfit because they allow you to ride down the hill at your own pace. You dont need to follow the group of 20+ riders. This allows you to go at your desired speed (fast or slow) and stop when you wish. These bikes were 29" Fisher/Trekk equipped with cable disk brakes and a suspension fork. They... More

If you want an independent adventure, this tour is for you! When we first started going down hill on the bikes, I was very anxious since the roads were windy and the bikes picked up speed quickly. For the first 10 minutes or so of the ride, I definitely rode my breaks. For me, if I would have had to... More

This is the third time my husband and I have biked down Haleakala, but the first time we've done it without a guide, and the first time with the kids, 10 & 13. The rental place is easy to find, parking is free, and we were checked in, sized up for bikes, helmets, and rain coats we didn't end up... More

We did the mid morning express ride and everything was perfect, "staff, equipment, instructions and weather". My wife (66) is very nervous and cautious about activities like this, she was very comfortable, enjoyed the entire day and is ready to go again!

I read the reviews on tripadvisor/yelp and decided to choose maui sunriders. Best decision I made by a mile! I'll get to the mile explanation later. The sunrise tour starts early, but I was still on mainland time so not a big deal. Joe and Remy checked us in, briefed us, outfitted us with rain gear, gloves, helmets, backpacks and... More

Maui Sunriders is an excellent company for a sunrise tour of Haleakala Summit. The give the bare essentials for the experience (equipment, tour, bike down) and but their price reflects that. Personally, I didn't need a ride to their shop and brought my own snacks so this wasn't a problem. We met at 3:15 am where we filled out paper... More
