When we started looking for bike trips down Haleakala, we were nervous about tours as they don't offer much freedom. Maui sunriders gives you the best of both worlds- a ride to the top, with no worry about driving up a mountain on your own in the dark- and a bike down that is at your own pace. The guides... More

My husband and I did this tour on our honeymoon. We had an amazing clear day and the sunrise was perfect!! Be sure to check out the info booth at the top...lots of great info in there as well as some souvenirs. Be sure to wear layers...it's cold at the top!! The staff was great! Natalie was our guide and... More

When my husband and daughter started talking about a bike ride from Haleakala to Paia I thought: "No way am I doing THAT!" I don't enjoy bike riding and was afraid I would be miserable. But not wanting to be left out I reluctantly agreed to join them on a self paced ride. And I am so very glad I... More

My husband and I went on this ride with my uncle, and 10 year old daughter. We all agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. You have to experience it to understand the beauty and 'Zen-like' experience. We loved the fact we were able to bike on our own, at our own pace and make... More

Absolutely loved Remy! This company is the best because you get to go at your own pace. The other companies make you ride in a group. You can't stop where you want to stop. No fun doing that. We got to stop where we wanted and there weren't big crowds we had to deal with. Remy was quick to get... More

My husband and I chose to do the sunrise tour (the most immaculate place to see the sunrise in Hawaii). We had to be at the shop by 3:00 am in order to get everyone checked in and get the gear. They drive everyone up the crater in 15 passenger vans. Be careful, as the road is VERY windy and... More

This was an OUTSTANDING experience. If you can ride a bike this is a MUST DO. We had Remy as our guide going up the Mtn. Remy is quite the comedian! They do a good job explaining what to expect, how to ride, how to break while riding down the mountain. You do get the bike all day if you... More

#1 YOU GET THE BIKE ALL DAY!!! #2 They include a backpack and combination lock so you can stop and lock the bikes up to go exploring on foot. We booked a trip with Maui Sunriders during a recent trip to Hawai'i. Waking up a 1:30 AM to drive to their shop didn't sound so great, but it was sooo... More

Remy did an excellent job explaining the trip, the equipment and how to safely navigate the road. It's not for the faint of heart; don't pay attention on the ride and you could get hurt. The sunrise was beautiful and the views on the way back down the volcano were incredible. In my opinion, the best part was our group... More
