Unfortunately there was nothing going on in the artist studios on the day I was there, but I still really enjoyed my visit. The house is small but charming, with some artwork to see on the walls and a small gift shop. Make sure you walk down to the garden near the entrance to the property, that was my favorite... More

Coming down from Makawao on Baldwin Avenue you will come to the Hui No'eau Art center on the right . Go inside the gates and park at the end . This is the former home of the Baldwins called "Kalaunui " built around 1917 by a famous architect and it sits on 25 beautiful acres the grounds are truly beautiful... More

The day we visited, none of the artists were working in the studios. Unfortunately, the exhibition area was closed as well. There is a small history room and gallery shop within the center. The grounds are beautiful and it was a nice way to spend an hour. There is no cost to enter the estate and parking is free.

They were between exhibits when we visited so I cannot share much about the museum but the grounds are lovely and if you get lucky you might catch an art craft demo on the grounds.

What a delight! This expansive estate is representative of a bygone era. Truly magnificent Estate home and grounds are lovely and the massive trees that are there are spectacular. We enjoyed the gallery and the friendly staff. You can buy small canvases and create your own artwork in a room next to the gallery filled with amazing light.

This is our third visit to the Hui and we would recommend it to anyone at all interested in pursuing/promoting arts! Staff is most knowledgable and the grounds well signed(trees etc.) Annual fundraiser with generous donors is especially a fun event!

Even if you are not into art it is worth a visit. The grounds are amazing as is the house. Huge old trees and beautiful big yard looking down to the ocean. The people in the main house and the pottery workshop are friendly.
