My wife and I stayed at the luxury resort Westin Maui in August 2014. Being a luxury resort, as expected the prices at the restaurants were outrageous. But right next door is the outdoor mall called Whalers Village. There you will find a GOLDMINE of alternative meal choices. Subway was excellent, as were all of the "fast food" type of... More

I believe my title says it all. Want an expensive fancy Hawaiian clothes item? You can get that here. (I get my shirts from Costco on the island as they have a good selection.) Want an inexpensive-made-in-China "Hawaiian" nicknack to take home or a place for the kids to browse? You have that here, too. Ice cream? There's a Hagen... More

This is not a huge center but was conveniently close to our Ka’anapali Hotel. We soon discovered that it was generally more expensive than what we anticipated and not a place to come for everyday items. There is an ABC store and one or to other reasonably priced stores but most of the shops are high-end fashion stores like Louis... More

We visited Maui back in May. We went to Whalers village a few times during our visit. It has many stores and places to eat. The best part of it is Kaanapali beach. You have easy access to the beach. It is open to the public. The beach is beautiful and there is a long strip you can walk on... More

This a cute little shopping center on Kaanapali beach. It is right next to the Westin hotel and is basically on the beach. There are several restaurants right on the beach, within Whalers village and usually a live band playing at one of them. Whalers village is an upscale center, yet has numerous shops that are not very pricey. Great... More

I loved the variety of stores here and they seemed to have better selections than the same stores on Front Street (Crazy Shirts). It's a good place to shop if you're waiting for a table at one of the good restaurants in the village.

I had seen the infamous flip flop charm in an in flight magazine advertisement for Na Hoku many years ago. Since we returned to Maui I decided I had to see it in person. We went to Whaler's Village and saw Sandie in Na Hoku. She was very helpful but didn't pressure as at all. While were were there several... More
