This place is great as a rental shop (we rented snorkelling gear from them later in the week) but the real gem is their dive trips. We ended up having a private dive with Mike as the instructor and he is awesome! He tells you he can't promise you will see the sealife you want but he might as well....... more

I was wanting to get my open water certification for an upcoming trip to Australia and looked into doing it locally in Oregon but the length of time, cost, and freezing water was not appealing. I planned a trip to Maui specifically to get my certification, at $189 for three days, it can't be beat. It would have cost double... more

Scuba like it should be. Small shop with professional instructors. Zack and Mike were both awesome teachers and scuba tour guides. Jack the owner gives the place character. Take a minute and ask him about his race car. I dove with them nine times, each time was fun, safe and enjoyable. more

One reviewer was mistaken-this shop is not a chain (he might have been thinking about Maui Dive shop?). We got our open water certification here with Mike W. What an amazing instructor! I was very nervous to dive but his humor and calm, soft-spoken way helped me get through this fear. I highly recommand him as an instructor. The shop... more

Went to this shop in Lahaina and got our Open Water cerfifications with Instructor Mike W. We agree with previous reviews that give Mike 2 thumbs up! He was terrific in his instruction and knowledge. Mike has alot of experience. He explained everything so clearly and eased any nervousness we may have had regarding performing any of the required skills.... more

I went to Maui Diving to obtain my Open Water Certification. It was a fantastic experience. My instructor, Zach, was a great guy. He made me very comfortable and I really felt safe at all times, even when I did something stupid. He was very upbeat and encouraging. There were two other people in my class (I didn't know them)... more

June 2008. What a fantastic day of diving! It had been awhile since my wife and I had been diving and we were lucky enough to have Captain John, the owner of Maui Diving, agree to take us to one of his favorite dive spots at Mala Harbor. To make things a bit more fun, he brought along 3 underwater... more

I came to Maui with my girlfriend and she had already done here confined water portion of the PADI certification. We signed her up for the open water part and I came along for four tanks over two days. Mike the instructor was fantastic. He was funny, polite, safe, extremely knowledgeable about the area and the ocean. My girlfriend was... more

If you are interested in diving in Maui, avoid this chain and seek the more personable option. The tour I went on had almost 30 people with 3 different goals. Certified divers, snorkelers and novice divers....what an experience. Don't they know you don't want the "pack em in" approach? Next time I will definitly ask how many to expect on... more

This place had the cheapest price. 1 tank for 69.99 USD. But you dont even get what you pay for! When we went in to the place and sign the papers, whenever we asked the owner questions, he'd give us a funny answer, but would never really answer our questions. When there were parts of the contract that didnt apply... more
