Description: Snorkeling trips to Lanai and Whale watching in season Constantly in...
Snorkeling trips to Lanai and Whale watching in season Constantly in search of the "Perfect Day" of snorkeling or whale watching, Captain Steve and his crew will stop at nothing to ensure unparalleled service and quality. Waste no time in discovering the secrets of the reef and playing with dolphins, humpback whales, turtles and rays. There is no telling what we might encounter on any given day. No two trips are alike, and that's probably what keeps the captains and crew so friendly and accommodating. They are as excited about going to work as the guests are about going on a Maui rafting adventure! History Established in 1986. Captain Steve's Rafting is a true example of the words "owner operated." Since he started his business in 1986, Steve has been insisting on personal service and satisfaction for every guest. As he explains, "I want to make sure everyone who comes with us absolutely loves the experience." It's hard to find someone more sincerely dedicated to making visitors happy. That's why so many customers keep coming back to Captain Steve's year after year. A note with regard to the captains and crew: It is widely known that Captain Steve has been the only operator of the family business for the past three decades, but with the advent of his second boat, he obviously cannot be two places at once. He is therefore committed to selecting only people who truly care about the craft of tourism and wish to make a positive impact on the experience of the guests. Thus "going the extra mile" is always sought after when considering a representative of his company.

We just had our first-time experience. We went with my sister and her husband -- who were taking like their 5th or 6th trip with Captain Steve. It's a great tour IMO because the boat isn't too big nor too small. Views were wonderful. Parking around there is tough, so be ready. Also, the boat has no toilet. So be... More

This is our third trip with Captain Steve and he never fails to deliver. He's well schooled on where the whales "like to hang" and always manages to deliver a whale watch trip worth the money. You'll see lots of discounted whale watches from the ticket brokers but we've heard from many people that they never get to see anything... More

We scheduled our whale watching while still on the mainland and when we arrived in Maui the weather wasn't all that wonderful - our first whale watch was cancelled due to weather - Captain Steve was fantastic in explaining and letting us know that we could either reschedule or get a refund. I did not call right away for rescheduling... More

This was our first time whale watching experience . We took afternoon trip on February 7th,2015. This was our life time experience and we enjoyed it. It's more fun in raft than boat. We saw whales so many times and Captain did his best to go close to whales. I will recommend Captain Steve Raft to everyone. Thanks for great... More

I just went on this "rafting adventure" this morning. By all accounts, it was a successful trip. Right now is peak whale season so there are literally thousands of whales performing what whales do: breathing, tail slapping, pectoral fin slapping, breaching, etc.. However, this raft is not good for photography. Because these animals rarely breach, it is difficult to see... More

It was just a breath taking experience when your raft was surrounded by 4 humpback whales. it was wonderful to see the whales in blue ocean. 2 hours of great fun.

We have been to Maui several times and this is the second year we have done a trip on Captain Steve's Whaling raft trip. (Twice this trip) It is so much better on the small rafts with a limited number of people and the staff are excellent. We were lucky to have Captain Steve himself on one of our trips... More

Had used several other whale watching charters. Rafting was different. You are really close to the water. Several times we saw whales coming towards us. The captain did his best to find them. No disappointed. Next year and how ever more years God allows us to come will certainly book a trip with them. Next time the dolphin adventure.

Whale watching with Captain Steve was amazing! We loved the staff, the boat, and THE WHALES! We saw the most unbelievable display--a mother whale breaching over and over again for 2 minutes straight with her baby following close behind her. Beautiful! One of the greatest experiences of my life. Next time we'll try the snorkeling trip! Mahalo!

Best whale watching trip on Hawaaii. Small boats mean everyone can see and you are down there with the action. Whales so close you could almost touch them. We live on Vancouver Island and spend a lot of time on whale trips watching Orca. We are always thrilled to see a humpback. Today's trip was really special as we saw... More
