The food was good and the show was ok. But the start sucked. You line up for about an hour and then they slowly let you in. The reason it takes a while to get in is that they take a picture of every group and then at the end of the show they hope you will pay a high... more

I do not recommend that Royal Lahaina Luau at all. You are greeted with a $.39 shell lei (free at any Hilo Hattie Store) but are given the opportunity to purchase a real one. The food is not very good and you sit in cheap folding chairs at long tables covered with cheap blue table cloths. The whole Luau area... more

I was at the Royal Lahaina Luau for the 3rd time on April 8 with the entire family of 8. The food was great, the Mai Tai's were great and the show was superb. We were there as a family many years ago. It was raining, the food got soggy, and we had a poor view of the show from... more

1st Luau I ever went to. Thank goodness someone talked me into going to a different one, where the food and show were awesome. This one I think is run by the owners family, with them as performers so of course they can't be fired. Try Old Lahaina Laua in Lahaina or the one's on Oahu. Even after several Mai-Tais... more

This was a perfect luau. We paid the extra $15/per person for premiere seating, which I highly recommend. You can arrive early and get unlimited bar drinks and you are treated like a VIP. This also gives you front row seating. They escort the premiere VIP first in the buffet line, which was very well organized. The show was spectacular.... more

One of my worst fears was realized when my son threw up a few hours after he ate from the children's buffet at the Royal Lahaiana Luau. This was hands down one of the worst experiences ever. There were so many bad things that I am going to number them. 1. We arrive at 5:30 as per our documents from... more

We bought our tickets through Expedia Local Expert in Lahaina for $60 per person. It was a total waste of money. First, this is a mass- production show. They seat 700 people into a dusty litter box. The drinks are full of sugar with almost no alcohol. You wait in line for 30 min even though you already have a... more

This was my first experience with a Luau and while the show was enjoyable I probably would not go back again. We paid for the VIP seating, which included free drinks 2 hrs prior to the start of the luau. while it was nice not to have to stand in line outside in the heat & humidity, the Beachcomber Lounge... more

We were staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort and since they had a Luau there, we decided to go there. We had never been to a Luau before, so we really don't have anything to compare it to, but we really enjoyed it and so did our friends who were traveling with us. It was also one of the most... more

We booked through Boss frogs. Fun for the whole family. Very much like what you see on tv. kids and adults loved getting on stage learning the hula. Hostess was fun and entertaining. We paid extra $15 for premier seating. Well worth the money. The buffet was excellent. Kids loved the kikei buffet. The manager was very helpful and friendly.... more
