My husband and I went to one of the more expensive luaus on the island ten years ago and were not that impressed. Food was ok. Entertainment was good, but sometimes boring. Location was nice. We felt we had to do it again since we brought the kids back, but opted for this much cheaper version. For this one, all... More

We chose this luau as it has a kids buffet and they have the kids up on the stage to teach them how to hula. It was a beautiful spot to take pictures as the sun was setting. We all enjoyed the show. The food was what I would expect from a buffet dinner for a couple of hundred people.... More

There are several Luau's in the area and all offer something different from the other. We found the entertainment to be excellent and interactive and the performers were having a great time with the guests. We were right at the stage and had a fantastic night. The food itself was good not great but there was lots of it.

I have attended the Royal Lahaina Luau several times, and brought friends here in January because it was done very well. You can get slightly discounted tickets through activity spots, we got ours through Snorkel Bob. I remember the grounds being larger, and walking around prior to the show looking at demonstrations and the grounds. Apparently someone needed some space... More

The food was very ordinary, over cooked and tasteless.... Fish was not fresh, tasted like frozen breaded fish. No chance to go for seconds or desert as it was packed away before we could blink!! Too bad if I wanted coffee!! Show was pretty good but felt like they were rushing it through so between trying to eat and watch... More

Second time coming to this luau. The food was very good, the dancers and singers were excellent. Especially enjoyed the "fireball" finale. time and money well spent. A very enjoyable and unforgettable evening for us to enjoy. Well worth the time and money soent at this reosrt's presentation.

We stayed at the Royal Lahina so this Luau was on the grounds of our hotel. All you can eat, all you can drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic). I have a bland palate, making the food not so appetizing to me. Everything on the buffet had a sweetness to it. The entertainment was good, my favorite was the fire dancing.... More

We reserved this online before we arrived in Maui. We did opt for the vip seating. It was our girls (both under the age of 10) first time in Maui, and I wanted them to have great seats to see the whole show. After they took our picture, they got us into the area right away. We got leis and... More

I understand why this luau had mixed reviews. I've been to several and this is what I would call a low budget show. They had 6 male and 6 female dancers. They were okay, not spectacular. No "wow" factor. The food was better then I expected and there was plenty to offer, it pleased the whole family. The location was... More

Our visit to th Royal Lahaina luau seems to be in the 'off season', so was only about half full. We were greeted with delicious libations (that kept flowing throughout the show), watched the tropical sun dive deep into the sea, then we were invited to the buffet. The Kahlua pork was some of the best I've had on the... More
