We stayed at the Royal Lahina so this Luau was on the grounds of our hotel. All you can eat, all you can drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic). I have a bland palate, making the food not so appetizing to me. Everything on the buffet had a sweetness to it. The entertainment was good, my favorite was the fire dancing.... More

We reserved this online before we arrived in Maui. We did opt for the vip seating. It was our girls (both under the age of 10) first time in Maui, and I wanted them to have great seats to see the whole show. After they took our picture, they got us into the area right away. We got leis and... More

I understand why this luau had mixed reviews. I've been to several and this is what I would call a low budget show. They had 6 male and 6 female dancers. They were okay, not spectacular. No "wow" factor. The food was better then I expected and there was plenty to offer, it pleased the whole family. The location was... More

Our visit to th Royal Lahaina luau seems to be in the 'off season', so was only about half full. We were greeted with delicious libations (that kept flowing throughout the show), watched the tropical sun dive deep into the sea, then we were invited to the buffet. The Kahlua pork was some of the best I've had on the... More

This luau lasts from 5.30pm to 8pm and takes place on the grounds of the Royal Lahaina Resort. The luau we attended was busy, probably 80% full and takes place outdoors by the ocean so you may want a light jacket for winter months as it can get cooler in the evenings. The food was better than other luaus we... More

Although the show wasn't bad, the quality of the food was so low I couldn't give this more than 2 stars. The food was basically Kroger chicken, with low quality Chinese food and some frozen fried fish.

What a fabulous way to end the year! The food was varied enough to meet most people's needs/tastes (1 in the group was vegetarian, 1 Gluten-Free, 2 kids, and 1 just plain particular....and all were left satisfied) Most impressive was that several of the entrees were labeled at the buffet as GF. Unfortunately, there was virtually no option for a... More

My husband and I have been to many luaus over the last 20 years, and as luaus go, the food is usually just mediocre with the meat and fish being overcooked and dry. And the drinks usually seem watered down. At this luau we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and deliciousness of the food, as well as the full-strength... More

This facility looks like a crack house. It was dilapidated, filthy, and they jam-packed way too many people into an extremely crowded area. It felt like a middle school cafeteria - plastic tables and chairs, so close together you could barely get out. The "leis" are a thin strand of scratchy, tiny seashells. The colonies of ants and bugs collecting... More
