This is a very pretty boat ride to the island of Lana'i. The boat is clean and affords beautiful views of the Lahaina harbor and the West Maui Mountains, the island of Lana'i and, more often than not, dolphins and during whale season, whales. There is a shuttle at the Lana'i end that can take you to Manele Bay, the... More

A day trip to Lanai is fabulous.Ride over was bumpy, but not horrible. But the ride back from Lanai to Maui was horrific. The top was closed and we all had too sit inside. They handed out barf bags and several people were sick.It seemed very dangerous as we were tossed and pounded by huge waves.I he wore a patch and was... Took the Ferry / Jeep package to Lanai. Ferry was on time, staff were friendly. Saw numerous whales both ways. Had a great lunch in Lanai City and drove out to Shipwreck Beach. Scenery was different from Maui. Saw Wild Turkey, Ringneck Pheasant Francolins and Chukars. Several roads were closed due to recent storm damage. One caution...you can't see three... More

My son fell on the gangplank, and the Captain quickly searched for his first aid kit to help him out. We appreciated that. What we didn't know is that we'd have to carry our own bags on and off the ferry -- no porters. For a group of 9 (5 of them being young kids and thus, not particularly helpful)... More

We took the ferry from Lahaina to Lanai on my birthday. What a perfect way to spend the day. We phoned ahead to make reservations on the 9:15 AM ferry, and then paid for it when we arrived at the dock. It was interesting to see all the things the locals were taking back and forth, including a lawn mower!... More

I have always been intrigued by the less traveled Hawaiian islands so my husband and I did a half day tour of Lanai. The ferry was nothing too exciting but everything ran smoothly. Once we arrived on Lanai we were greeted by our local tour guide. We did the trekking tour and he shared some amazing stories with us about... More

We have been traveling to Hawaii for thirty years but had never visited Lanai. The ferry was easy to use, on time and comfortable. On our trip over - at 6:45 a.m. - we witnessed a gorgeous sunrise and sailing was smooth. The return trip was a bumpy ride but we never felt unsafe or in danger. While on Lanai,... More

We found this ferry to be very organized and on-time. The bumpy ride when we went from Lanai to Lahaina in the evening was unpleasant but not Expeditions' fault. They kindly provide barf bags just in case and there were a few passengers who seemed like they might need one! It's one of the only ways to get to Lanai... More

We stayed on Lanai for eight nights and loved every minute of the experience. We took the ferry to Lahaina one day to do some tourist shopping. Ferry leaves on time and is a comfortable way to travel. (It's also the only way to get there). Most of the passengers on the first A.M. trip over were Lanai locals making... More

If you have a spare day, take the ferry to Lanai and see the sites. The Challenge at Manele Bay is a "must-play" for golfers; it is perhaps the most beautiful golf course in the world. The two resorts, very different in styles and character, are worth a visit.
