A little piece of paradise under an ancient Banyan tree, complete with benches. It is free, cool (in every sense of the word), social and magnificent. Coming off of a cruise ship? Hit the dock, turn right-you can't miss it.

this tree covers an entire city block. Great place to hang out or for a picnic. Has to be seen to be believed.
The Banyan tress are really neat and these are really large that you can walk thru them. I really liked the courthouse and the historical aspect.
If you travel through Lahaina than you definately need to stop and have a look at the tree! Go into the nearby courthouse also for history of the area, and local shops that support the community.

There are signs asking visitors not to climb/hang on the tree. It's definitely something you should take a minute to...

Fascinating tree, hard to capture with a camera since they all seem to branch off the main tree which sits in the middle.
This is a huge tree covering the whole park. It is amazing to see and nice to walk around in the shade. It is quite a sight.
I've never seen anything quite like it. It looks like many different trees, but apparently they are all connected into just one. Truly spectacular to behold as well as all of the birds that flock to it at dusk to sleep there. The park itself is quiet and clean but there are some homeless people that like it. Nothing dangerous,...
