Absolutely beautiful tree. It is amazing to see the size in person. Pictures do not do it justice. Located near the harley davidson store, shopping, great lunch spots and across rom where the tourist fishing boats leave. If you go to Maui it is almost a law you have to have picture under the Banyon tree.

This tree really is beautiful and is amazing in how this Banyan has been tended and grown over the years. When you think that a single tree covers the entire park area, I personally was very impressed. Nature at its best. Maybe not for everyone for sure, but certainly worth a visit if just for the pictures.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I could sit in the park for hours and hours just looking at this tree. If you have time grab some lunch and explore this amazing piece of nature.

If you are anywhere near Lahaina, you should really come and see the "largest Banyan tree in the world". Not sure how you prove that, but a single tree covers close to an acre and is quite spectacular!

A really, really, big tree to be sure, but it is just a tree. I don't much care for DT Lahaina -- too many ticky-tacky touristy shops, a really horrid outlet mall that seems out of place on Maui, and drunken people who shout "woo" for no apparent reason. The banyan tree is definitely the best thing about the area,... More

When you stroll around Lahaina, be sure to visit this this park. It is dominated by a banyon tree planted in the 1870s. It is amazing with many very long branches that have developed new roots into the ground.

The tree is amazing and definitely worth viewing but when I had a drunk lady ask me for the dress I was wearing, I didn't stay long. Maybe what Jim Morrison said is right, people are strange when you're a stranger.

The huge, multi- trunked tree shelters local artists and their wares. Be sure and check out the harbor next door! Great, simple drinks at the Pioneer.

I have always loved Banyan trees because they fascinate me. My husband saw the enormous one in this park for the first time and was awed. This tree is huge. When walking through Lahaina, definitely stop and take a look. Also, if you drive just past the park there is FREE three hour parking!
