We spent a lot of time in the cool shady area of this park. It is in the middle of all the activity on Front Street. To say it is large and old is an understatement. You could spend hours just studying how it grew and branched out, literally. Local Boys West shaved ice and Cool Cat Cafe are right... More

One tree looks like about a dozen trees in a block. Huge! On water front. Close to good shopping on front street. Went during the day and ate our local boys shave ice there.

This is an incredible site if you have never seen a banyan tree. Nice place to get out of the sun and rest your weary feet. Really cool how this tree is rooted in the ground in multiple places yet the tree is totally connected. I have never seen anything like this before.

The Banyan tree is something to see. The weekend bazaar is interesting with many things to look at and purchase if you wish. The old courthouse is interesting to go through. Visit there and walk down Front Street.

The park is a must see. The trees are very unique. There are local people set up selling very unique jewelry, paintings, etc. No one pressures you to buy anything, that was different.

It's in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Lahaina, but this is a magical place to go to at night when the colored lights are hung everywhere.

When I envisioned Banyan tree park before our trip to Maui, I thought of a peaceful green beautiful landscape and the banyan trees with all it's might. But this park turned out to be smack in the middle of front street, the busiest street in all of Lahaina. It was neither peaceful, nor quiet. On the plus side though, since... More

we were fortunate to sit under the third largest Banya tree in the world the largest still grows in India, amazing how this grows sending out feelers which when they touch the ground it starts to grow up like another trunk holding up the ever so growing large canopy, somewhere to take time out from the warm sun and enjoy...
