The America II sailing trip was recommended by friends - so glad they did. We have a 30' Catalina - but have never had her on the side the way the crew of America II did. There were just 7 of us plus captain and 1 crew. So, we all sat on the high side - thank goodness. The low...

This was recommended by sailing friends of ours, they had enjoyed it so much they went twice. We are so happy we listened to them. It was the most fun we had on Maui, and we had a great trip. The boat is getting old but, hey, it's in a tropical climate and the sun and constant use is tough...

My family of five took the America II sail during our March visit to Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. Boat rides in Maui are very pricey and this one is much more affordable, although it is only a little longer than an hour.
The captain warns you the boat will tilt up to 45 degrees,...

Yes you get wet but the crew is watching to see how much you can handle. Captain very informative and capable. Watch the video before you go!!!

My wife and I took the sail together. This was her first time and my second. I learned from the first trip to take the high side of the yacht. It tends to be much dryer although I loves getting soaked the first time. The warm Hawaiian waters are worth getting wet. Skipper and his mate were great both trips....

My wife and I really enjoyed the sailing portion of the trip. However, the crew was not very friendly and we started about 45 minutes later than we were suppose to. If we didn't enjoy the sailing so much I would have rated this even lower. From the time we checked in the service was aweful. The person at the...

People are on here whining about getting wet. It's the America II! Its a racing yacht not a dinner cruise. From the research I've done, it used to get chartered in NY before being on Maui (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/america-ii-sets-sail-article-1.266986) except the 3-hour tours cost $5,000, not $50 for 2 hours. Pretty good if you ask me. Yes, you will probably get wet...

We paid $107, our 4:15 trip left late because the previous trip had left late... Once the 17 of us were on board (max 28), we got the safety review and motored away after about 30 minutes we started sailing. At a very step angle! I was at the back on the starboard side (near the captain) and stood with...

We were looking forward to a sailing adventure. The ship was over an hour late arriving. We were told it had to do with a sand bar and the tide keeping the ship from entering and exiting Lahaina Harbor. We understand that sometimes mother nature does not cooperate. But, we were also told that we would still get at a...
