We started our first full day in Maui at the Lahaina UMC and felt welcomed as we entered. There were many other visitors from all over the USA and Cananda. We received a BEAUTIFUL fresh lei as we entered. The music from the choir was uplifting and amazing - and only had 6 singers!! The sermon was simple but to... More

The congregation welcomes everyone with open arms, the minister is wonderful, and the Tongan choir is a fabulous bonus. The church is absolutely beautiful .......be sure to visit on Sunday morning.

Downtown off Front Street, you'll love the taste of Hawaiiana laced throughout the service. Stay for juice and cookies afterward in the fellowship hall to meet island residents and Reverend Paul.

A peaceful worship experience among locals and travelers. We were both greeted and given a gorgeous, aromatic lei!! Not sure if they do this every Sunday, it was very meaningful! The church smelled "heavenly." (No pun intended) We were welcomed in our casual attire ~ an awesome message and experience!!!

We were blessed to be able to worship here at this fine, friendly, historic church. Greeted with leis given to us. What a blessed way to start off our 35th wedding anniversary!

We visited this church because we were married in a Methodist church 40 years ago. Thought it would be a good way to celebrate. We were greeted with real flower leis. The service included two hymns that were sung in Hawaiian by the congregation. There was a Tongan Choir that was outstanding. At the end of the service, all present... More

It was a standing room only crowd on April 5th and we were on the front porch. The church was warm and welcoming and the sermon was directed at me. It was an inspiring Easter service. Maholo!

The history behind the church was great to hear. The fact that this church is still active is really neat.

We often walk past this photo opportunity when we walk from Kaanapali Beach to Lahaina. On one occasion we were able to go inside and we were glad we did. We did not take part in the service, but wanted to see the interior. Founded in 1896, the building itself dates from 1922, so it's almost 100 years old.

My husband and I really enjoyed worshiping here. The members were very friendly and welcoming. The flower lei, ukulele playing and Tongan choir were all very special. The message was thoughtful, meaningful and wonderfully delivered. Thanks to the Lahaina United Methodist Church for a very meaningful and memorable experience!
