Nearly didn't bring our golf clubs to Hawaii. Having seen the rentals at Kaanapali I am so glad I did because the rentals were rubbish. Bag attendants were great, contrary to... read more

Booked a round here a week in advance. Asked if I could rent clubs and was told they had a good selection. Asked if i could get something to eat before an 8:00 am tee time and told grill opened at 7. Arrived at 6:45. Checked in and then asked where grill was. Was told they had no grill just... More

kaanapali golf courses offer challenge and playability. The Kai golf course is a great test from the back tees but is playable for even a beginner golfer. I would recommend a afternoon tee time for the beginner golfer and a lesson with David Havens PGA before going out to play. Everyone at the facility is very helpful and if you... More

I celebrated my 40th birthday in Lahaina, and had a golf lesson as a gift. The instructor - David H. - is one of the kindest, nicest, down-to-earth guys you can imagine. If you're looking for an unpretentious, friendly, enjoyable place to play a round, take lesson, or just hit balls, look no further.

Had a chance to play the Kaanapali Kai course once and the Royal Kaanapali course twice during a recent trip. Short story: there is much, much more to Maui golf than Wailea and Kapalua. These two courses were in excellent condition, the greens were rolling true and fast while still holding long iron shots and the course including bunkers, rough,... More

This is just an OK course. The greens were in great condition and the rest of the course was nice also, but it is the atmosphere and location that just didn't work well for us. It is right in the middle of the resorts and condo in Ka'anapali and there are people walking all over the place going to the... More

The service was great but it stops there. The course is connected to the resort and used as a perk to their timeshare presentation. So for the golfers that play this course for free because they have sat through a presentation, good for them. For the rest of the tourist, the $150 plus fee they charge the simply outrageous. The... Other than a great location and course design the experience suffered form a list of management short comings. Two of us had VIP rental club rentals, but no pitch or gap irons in one Callaway set. We should have checked thoroughly I know, but at those fees for rentals should we need to? By hole three we were three groups... More

Over priced golf catering to tourists. Certainly not bad courses but other courses on Maui for similar prices & much better.

Nearly didn't bring our golf clubs to Hawaii. Having seen the rentals at Kaanapali I am so glad I did because the rentals were rubbish. Bag attendants were great, contrary to other reviews I've read here. Course itself was in very good shape, but not very challenging. Don't play here if you want views with your golf because they are... More

We played the Royal course this week. The course and greens were in great shape and the staff were very friendly. Hawaii was a stop on an extended trip to Australia so we did not have our own equipment. I was very disappointed with the rentals. The clubs were old Nike's in very poor shape. At $55 per set I...
