Played Royal Ka'anapali two times during stay. First the bad - No range, limited restrooms and pricey (but so is practically every Maui course). The first cut was so high (could not see grounded club head) we had a really hard time finding balls that were just off of the fairway (stay in the fairway then?). Chipping was pretty difficult... The golf courses are the most beautiful I've ever seen! Very large with a beautiful green. The grass is nothing I've ever seen before..

Played the Royal Kaanapali course. Fairways wide open but traditional Robert Trent Jones course; elevated greens with 2 to 3 levels and fast. Some good views but nothing on the ocean

Very EXPENSIVE golf, make sure this is what you want to do most on Maui. Hundreds of dollars for our family to rent clubs, cart and play 18 holes. Do this at home.

My husband and I played Ka'anapali Kai. Very average standard of golf course (even had a portable toilet instead of a proper toilet building on the course). If going to play golf at Ka'anapali you should choose Royal Ka'anapali instead.

My wife and I played both courses, and enjoyed the layouts. My only negative experiences were the cost (typical of Hawaii, however), the shortage of restrooms, especially on the Kai course, and the rental clubs (which were of good quality, but were much heavier than my own and I had more difficulty than usual hitting a straight shot). These were... More

It doesn't get any better than this. Amazing views of the ocean, nice open fairway and challenging greens.

I do not golf,But, other guests at the hotel rave about the course. I can tell you that what I have seen is lush greens and of course the surrounding landscape is breathtaking, the ocean, the islands, the air filled with the scent of the flowering trees, just thinking about it makes me happy.

Played the Royal course ( tournament course ) with a group of 8. Course itself is good but nothing special for Maui. Easy to get around with forced water shots on only 3 holes. Fairways were in good shapes, greens needed some work. Overall service ( cart/ starter or lack of/) was poor. The range is mat only and the... More

The condition of this course is in amazing shape. The holes are challenging but not impossible. My husband scored a 72 with mild windy conditions. Take advantage of second play for $60 and go before 3pm to beat the twightlighters bc if you played earlier, you can check in before them
