This is one of the few places near Lahaina that you can get down to 40' and out in the coral just off the beach. Most other sites are quite a bit shallower. We frequently see morays, eagle rays and lots of reef fish at this site. We've never encountered any significant current here, but the surf can be a... More

There were a lot of people there when we went. You were running into people because it's such a good place. The Black Rock is close and there are lots of nice fish to see. We swam with a turtle for awhile.

Easy access, has a concrete walkway that spans at least a mile all the way to black rock. The beach is clean. Saw a monk seal that had beached for 36 hours.

This is a nice beach/park with bathrooms and showers and tables. The snorkeling is awesome. There is about 5 ft of sandy beach under the water, then you hit the coral, lots of fish and turtles. The beach is wide, and soft sand. There is also grassy area behind the beach.

Lots of parking, great facilities with clean bathrooms, changing room, shower on the beach. Big grassy area to sit on in front of the beach. Shaded pavilion in between parking and the grassy area with picnic tables. Soft sand beach that slopes steeply to the water. Coral is right near the entrance so better for snorkeling then swimming. Large reef... More

We found this beach last year and it has become a favorite when we visit Maui. A community group maintains it, and the facilities are always clean and stocked-wish I could say that for the state and county beaches-they need some work in that area. We love that there is such a large grassy area for lounging, as the sand... More

Excellent general use beach for families, seniors, and for introductory ocean activities. Very clean, big parking lot, clean restrooms, changing room, grassy area, and sandy beach. Snorkeling is pleasant, but not spectacular. A coral reef with extensive finger coral formations with the usual Hawaiian reef fish and the occasional turtle. There were a few introductory SCUBA dive groups. It looks... More

This park and beach was right near our condo so we frequented it often. It has picnic tables and a huge lawn in addition to the beach. It is wide open and is a great spot for watching the sunset. Parking is available too. So if you are looking for a spot for a nice evening picnic this would work... More

Great scuba spot because there is lots of parking, clean facilities, lots of reef in the 20 ft, 30 ft, and even 50 ft range if you go really far out.....I have personally seen Devil Scorpionfish, Crown Jellyfish, Dragon Morays, Zebra Morays, Frogfish, Eagle Rays, etc. at this spot....>Great for Whale watching right off shore in winter time.....Usually lots of... this beach was right next to the resort we were staying in. It had a fairly large parking lot and there were washrooms, showers and a picnic area. Very clean, clear water. Beautiful sand and not very crowded. There is a reef maybe 5 feet from the short and it had a lot of different fish, and turtles. There is... More
