Nice amount of parking with covered picnic tables and bathroom. We loved the swimming and snorkeling here. We saw lots of marine life including turtles! It's a beautiful stretch of beach and has a nice board walk as well.

The water was clear and warm. We saw lots of fish and three turtles. Not very crowded and there were bathroom/changing facilities there. Lovely location.

This beach is between Honua Kai and Mahana condos, and very close to the old pink Embassy Suites complex (now it's a Diamond timeshare property). It is adjacent to the Honoapi'ilani Park which has loads of parking for beach visitors and extensive grounds. The sign says it is privately held and maintained for the use of the public (how nice... There was a nice large free parking place at Westin Hotel. ( the hotel was gorgeous!) And the beach was right across the lawn from there. I was so happy that the water looked very flat and beautiful for snorkeling. But the beach itself was steep and very narrow. The reef came right up to the shore and because of... More

Got Married here and its beautiful. There is nothing like the sunsets from the West Side of Maui. Seeing the Canoes, Whales, Turtles and the Sun dropping behind Lanai is just mystical. Any beaches along the WEst side are gorgeous.

This was our first stop on a "snorkel trifecta" day. Street parking was a short walk from the Shoreline Public Beach Access. Public restrooms and sand off showers were available. The beach itself was a lovely expanse of sand peppered with beach goers but not overcrowded on the weekday we went. Especially calm and "family oriented" water on the left... More

I wish we'd found this gem earlier in our trip. In front of the Westin hotel north of Black Rock, this beach has lovely coral in shallow water, with an 'okay' number of fish. The sandy beach itself is fine and has a couple of shade trees on the south end of the beach. Excellent for families and beginning snorkelers.

this beach has better snorkeling than Kapalua Beach. The waves are a bit stronger but you can see fish feet from the shore. You can literally sit in the sand & see fish. I walked out pretty far & saw amazing fish & coral. When I say walked out I mean walked out. I decided to swim a bit further.... More

We checked out Honolua Bay and Kapalua Bay and the snorkeling was subpar due to the murky water. We were lucky enough to stumble onto Kahekili Beach. The snorkeling was awesome! It doesn't look like it's going to be great when you first see it but the water was crystal clear and there were tons of fish. We also saw... More

I've been to Molokini, I've scuba dived on Maui and Lanai, I've stayed in South Maui and West Maui and this reef is the best I've seen close to shore. Right off the beach you get colorful reefs and lots of fish. We frequently see turtles, both juvenile & adults, and once saw a stingray farther offshore. The bathrooms and... More
