We snorkeled here mid-July 2014 when the waves were choppy elsewhere. The waters here were calm, clear, and teaming with fish. We even had a turtle swim by.This is a great beach, we went early in the morning before any crowds came out.( I did not see a single smoker) There is a nice, covered picnic area, and the walk... We visited this park and beach in May 2014 for snorkeling. Nice park with lots of free parking by maui standards. The day we were there was calm & sunny & we went around 8 am so not crowded.Water drops off quickly with lots of coral near beach Most snorkeling is over coral at deeper depths than I liked (20... The water here is crystal clear clarity. Careful of the reef as it can come up to the shore in some areas. Make sure to take a snorkel to see the fish

This marine preserve hidden across from where the sugar cane train is, is the best snorkeling spot on the island. Great parking and facilities close to the beach. This is only place on Maui where I have seen an Achilles tang and trust me, I've snorkeled every spot on the island. Not to be missed, but please be respectful of... More

There's a nice reef off this beach for snorkeling. The first reef is bleached and not much fish, so the trick is to swim past that to the next line of reef. Good facilities - bathrooms, covered pavilion (for when it starts raining!), and picnic benches. Lovely location for a sunset.

This beach is directly in front of the hotel resorts so expect it to get crowded. The water was lovely, so were the views and there are shade provided by the trees. Lots of folks snorkeling (directly across the Westin) and scuba diving. Weather is pretty fickle and it rained pretty hard while we were there so we didn't get... More

We went to this beach to snorkel twice. The first time was a Saturday after snorkeling Black Rock. We enjoyed it so much because it wasn't nearly as crowded, and the coral appeared to be much healthier. We also got to see two large pods of spinner dolphins swim north along the coast. Very cool and a great day! The... More

Best beach on the west side with great snorkeling/swimming/kayaking opportunities. Full restrooms and showers with ample BBQ and picnic tables. Not to be missed when on the west side. Great place for sunsets too!

There is easy parking, thru the sheraton drive. The snorkeling is decent, especially further out. Nice clean pavillion and plenty of grills. Families there with kids and local use , friendly atmosphere. grassy bank near sand , some shade with palm trees and showers with restrooms available

Just like Kaanapali to the south, Kahekili Beach (also known as North Kaanapali Beach) has something for everyone. Sand, calm surf, and spectacular snorkeling. However, it's far less busy than Kaanapali Beach to the south. Most of the people on the beach are from the Westin Kaanapali Villas Resort. If there's anything negative about this beach, it's that the sand... More
