We rented equipment nearby at the Snorkel Store and they suggested here. Nice covered pavilion where we could have our lunch. Now to the water. Wow! This was a great spot where we three could hang out together, two snorkelers and one doing SUP. We saw a lot of beautiful fish. Good conditions, good times!

Great Beach, but the dropoff is steep, so small children should stay close to shore. Parking can be tough--very small lot considering how many people go there. Good snorkeling though. I hear the waves can be rough during certain times of the yer.

Wonderful place to walk by the beach or by the beach walk with Lanai and Molokai in the background. Plenty of parking for people who are not staying at nearby resort places. You can often see weddings on the nearby resort and picture taking during sunset at any day of the week.

This small public park also has a small public (free) parking lot, great for us as we didn't stay in a Ka'anapali property. There is a nice covered area with bathrooms and cement picnic tables, and grass leading up to the sandy beach. An outdoor shower has sprays at several levels on several sides, so you can wash off sand... More

One of Maui's most beautiful beaches and not as crowded or built up. Worth the stop to explore and stroll for a little relaxation and sunshine.

This was our best shore based snorkeling day! There were many types of fish and corals pretty close to shore. This area also had the clearest water we had during our trip. There was abundant wildlife in 5 feet of clear water! BEWARE sharp rocks and corals! My wife had just taken off her fins coming out of the water... More

This was a perfect beach for snorkelers of all ages. We had family ranging from 5 years old - almost 70 years old. Very easy parking, bathroom on-site and easy entry in to the beach with no strong currents. We saw lots of tropical fish and had a great time. We went back twice.

You can easily save the money for a trip to Molokini crater, if you have the chance to snorkel in Kahekili Beach Park. The vision was great - at least at the time we saw it, somewhat less than Molokini, but we could find as many fish plus at least one pretty big turtle. When you go to the park,... More

This is a good snorkeling beach because there is so much live coral. However, the reason there is so much live coral is because it is a bit deeper than usual for most snorkelers. You will see some scuba divers here -because it is an ideal spot for beginner and intermediate scuba divers. I saw all the usual reef fish... More

Got a tip about this beach while renting gear at Boss Frogs. Went to the beach and found parking pretty easily. The beach is great and has bathrooms and showers so its easy on parents with kids. The beach was great and the water and snorkel was really awesome. We then took the beach path (its a paved sidewalk that... More
