The Kahekili Beach is a beautiful beach close to a number of hotels. It is easy to walk to and is usually not crowded. There are rest rooms not porta potties here! The parking is not ample so on a weekend be sure to get here early.

I visited this beach again - first time in about 5 years and once again , dove down and heard the song of the humpbacks- so intelligent and such gentle giants. The beach itself is magic in that it's a perfect combo of sunbathing and swimming to cool off. Lots of eating places nearby- maybe the best beach on Maui... More

We enjoyed snorkeling right off the beach. free parking was always easy (we usually arrived by 10am-ish). No lifeguard. Bathrooms near the parking lot. The coral was plentiful and so were the fish. We saw a sea turtle one day. We also enjoyed watching the whales breach & slap their tales in the distance.

We came here a few times on our trip. We were staying down the road and our beach wasn't as big/filled with coral. It's a huge stretch of beach that you can walk to find the perfect spot to chill. The public area has restrooms and benches and a shaded gazebo area. Theres a shower area to wash the sand... More

Kahekili beach park is one of the best out there in west Maui. With amenities like public bathrooms, picnic benches, and public shower, this beach is great for a nice swim. The beach is not only lovely to look at from above, its also a great snorkeling spot. The entire stretch of Kaanapali has great snorkeling spots, but we chose... More

A big beach with some snorkeling. Nothing special but the water it's calm and a good place to go snorkeling if you aren't used to it. Along the beach are many resorts an a golf course. So you won't be alone there.

I stayed at the Royal Lahaina and this was our main beach. The surf was a bit rough for everyone in my party so we walked 1 hotel south to Black Rock where the water was nice and flat and safe. Say goodbye to those trees right on the beach. when that hotel north of the Royal Lahaina opens up,... More

Love this beach. Whether to lay and relax, sit and watch whales or have great snorkeling. Lots of beautiful coral and things to see. We saw a yearling quite close to shore breach and while snorkeling saw a monk seal and devil scorpion fish besides all the other usual things. Highly recommend.

We did not stay long here, wanted to get a glance of Black Rock to the left of the beach. It was very crowded (read popular), for all the good reasons. Snorkeling, surfing, lots of sun, plenty of people relaxing/tanning/having fun, it was a great winter beach destination!

This part of the Kaanapali beach is particularly accessible due to the large parking lot. Know, however, that it can get full if you come after 9 am. Toilets and a small water outlet to get rid of sand from your feet are provided.
