I stopped and watched the people getting their photos taken with the birds. I actually felt sorry for the birds. The handler looked like a homeless person who had captured some birds and was using them to make money off of tourists. He was dirty looking and it was just plain creepy.

My family stopped to watch the happenings at this attraction. Initially, it seemed cool. But, we quickly discovered that the poor birds are simply money makers stuck in a tourist trap endeavor.Reminded me of the donkeys that are used in Mexico for photo ops. Unless there are different operators of this kind of business, the one we observed made me... More

What an incredible place for an awesome souvenir, the price is perfect and it is something that will last a lifetime. You can't beat a great picture for a lifetime of memories. The birds are very colorful and well trained and loved by their handler. This is another "must do".

We walked by these beautiful birds many times and finally stopped to watch a family have their pic taken. We were so impressed with how kind the photographer was with helping a nervous little boy. He was so patient and never rushed the family. He posed everyone just right and was so professional. There were others waiting and he took... More

I happened upon the birdstand and was fascinated to see many birds sportring glorious plumage of brilliant hues. I was sad to see a pink and grey galah and a sulphur crested cockatoo ( Australian native birds) that looked quite 'unwell'. That aside I found the bird handler very pleasant and obliging. Quite fairly he told me that photos with... More

Pros Fun keepsake if you are already in the area to go shopping Birds are pretty, funny, and well trained Cons Parking in the area is expensive ($11) Minimum cost of picture is $25 (he will ship to you for extra $5) Not worth driving from far away just for this activity

We loved getting our pictures taken with the parrots. But plan on doing it in the morning so it's not so hot. And then you have to come back the next day (I think it was the next day...) to get the picture. No pictures allowed by your own camera, you have to pay for pictures.

We enjoyed the experience with the birds, although taking the photo was a bit of a drawn out process. Our two children (ages 5 and 9) particularly had fun with it. Unfortunately, the photo was not delivered as promised 24 hours later, so we ended departing from our holiday without the photo. However, the Birdstand mailed the photo to us... More
