This stand has been here for years and years. We now live in Maui, but for 20-30 years, we visited Maui every year for vacation. We have years of photos of the us and the kids...and it has become a tradition for us. We can look back and remember all the fun we have had over the years, and see... More

This is something that we do every time we're in Maui. Beginning when the kids were really little, up to the current one where the kids are grown, married, etc. It's means a lot to me and look at those pictures over the years. We have always found this to be fun, The birds have their own personality, and are... More

We nearly missed the Birdman this time around. Last saw him and his colorful parakeets at Garden of Eden on road to Hana. The gatekeepers mentioned he had relocated to near the Banyan Tree Park in Lahaina. His place was busy with curious onlookers and people waiting in line. We got our turn after waiting about 20min. Dave was professional... More

Don't even think about taking your own photo or anything else... you are really pressured into buying THEIR photo and theirs alone.

I watched this for a while and then could NOT resist -- I just HAD to have those birds on me! This guy is great....I ordered more than I needed, because it was such a joy! This is an unforgettable and unique indulgence which your kids (and spouse!) will adore and talk about for years! Don't miss this!

We've been coming to Maui for years. We always have seen this guy set up taking pictures and one year we decided to do it. The pictures were great! My kids looked great holding the birds. It was a fun experience for them. It's a bit pricey, but worth it. I'd go during an overcast day so you have good... More

The birds are so well trained and are in such good condition. It seems like forever that this business has been set up here on Front Street near Pioneer Inn and, as these birds can live for a very, very long time, these are probably the same ones we've been seeing for 20 years now. The professional photos turn out... More

Walked past this well known corner where the birds sit around and stopped in front while the Bird Man spoke to another couple for what seemed to be too long a time without noticing and acknowledging a prospective customer. They were speaking of times past and appeared they were previous customers. After waiting around and peering at each bird for... More
