We had our picture taken with the birds and it was great. We had them taken one night and were given a paper with what we ordered and told to come back the following night after 5 and sure enough we had no problems getting them. There are 2 different people that do this in the same spot and they... More

These birds are well cared for, clean, and well behaved. Great addition to the downtown ambiance. The owner's care and concern are evident in his interactions with the birds and theirs with one another.

We have been coming to the bird stand every year that we have been lucky enough to vacation in Maui (every couple of years for 15 years now). It is something that my kids look forward to a great deal (as small children until young adults). It is an all around great experience - Brian is very kind, the birds... More

So, basically you get a choice of posing with one or all the parrots and then a selection of packages. My so was in heaven, he posed with all of them. The only thing that was a little disappointing is you don't get to visit with the birds at all. You just pose with them and you're done.

Brian (aka "the parrot guy"), who said he has been at the same corner for 26 years, was a riot. Funny listening to him interact with his parrots like they were his kids. Quite the comedy routine. Loved the photos and postcards. Worth the money. Thanks, Brian, for some wonderful memories as you argued with Mai Tai!

In March of 2013 we came to Maui for the first time and just happened to walk past the birdstand Down by the Banyan Tree Park. After a small amount of persuasion by Brian my husband, daughter and myself had our pictures taken with the 5 birds. We had never been around these types of birds before but we had... More

So, I'm not usually one to pay to have my photo taken, but as a bird lover I couldn't resist. I don't know the guys name, but he's the one who takes care of the birds and works with them. He took these rescues in and has obviously spent a tremendous amount of time with them and the birds absolutely... More

Spend quite some time watching the colourful birds and many people having their photo taken with them. Stop and admire them for a few minutes.

This is a few people on the sidewalk with a bunch of parrots. You hold them, and pose for a photo. That's it. This isn't an attraction. It's people with parrots on the sidewalk with signs up indicating not to take photos of their birds. On what looked like to me, public property. Just FYI. Meh.
