Whale watching with Pacific Whale Foundation is the only way to go. Your fare helps sae the oceans as well. The have vessels ranging from a raft to one's that 100 plus passengers. The do a great job of explaining behaviors and you really learn about the humpbacks. I would suggest becoming a member, you then get access to discounts... More

It was an amazing experience. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable. The sites are absolutely breathtaking. We got to see so many whales up close and personal and capture a lot of great photos.

Our first time on their new boat, Ocean Spirit. Very friendly and knowledgable crew. They were great taking time with our 5 year old son. The only thing I would change is the length of the trip. Two hours in the blazing sun is just about miserable. It felt like they were just killing time to get to the 2... More

One of our favorite things about Maui is watching the whales. We always take a whale watching trip and the last several years always go with Pacific Whale Foundation. We have found they always know where to find exciting whale action and are very knowledgeable about everything you want to know about whales. Not to be missed. Best December through... More

A two hour excursion into the calm waters on March 20 between Maui and Lanai was a whale of an experience on the Pacific Whale Foundation vessel Quest. Within only a few minutes of leaving the harbor at Lahaina, we witnessed a humpback whale breaching just off the port side of the Quest. The staff on board was very attentive... More

The timing was clearly fortuitous because from the time we left the dock until we returned about 2 hours later, we constantly saw whales. The guide was very informative with her running commentary as to what we were witnessing. The most oohs and aahs were caused by the whales breaching. They ware magnificent animals

The Pacific Whale Foundation is a great organization. If you enjoy whale watching do one of their raft whale watching trips. It is so exciting and educational to be that close to the whales. They have a marine biologist on every trip and they give a great narrative of what the whales are doing. Just a wonderful experience.

Whales and more whales! We saw a pod of Rough-tooth dolphins with a humpback. Humpback mom with calves and even males hanging around. It was hard as a photographer to pick and choose. Almost missed a breaching whale. Did miss the photo but did see it. Both trips a late afternoon and sunrise was great whale watching. The sunrise was... More

Of all the whale watch options, the Pacific Whale Foundation offers the best experience. We did the sunset dinner cruise out of Lahaina. This was our second trip with this company and they have provided stellar service both times. Each and every employee is committed to providing the best experience for each and every guest. The dinner is a very... More
