Beautiful scenery and friendly guide

We have been on trail rides before, and this was one of the prettiest. Up a hill through pines and cane grass, then down into a jungle with ancient caves and other ruins. Got to pick some coffee beans as we went along. Beautiful views of Molokai. We were on the 90-minute ride which seemed shorter but I wasn't keeping... More

My husband and I did the 90 minute ride today and loved it! We are not riders but are comfortable on horses. So I would rate us as beginners. Gina was our guide and she was terrific! Safety conscious first and then educational and fun second. She talked a lot about the trees and flowers and introduced us to the... More

We went for an afternoon ride. We were concerned an afternoon ride would be too hot but because of the elevatin and trade wind breeze it was perfectly pleasant. My seven year old granddaughter wanted to go so we thought we were just going to please her. Were we ever pleasantly surprised. The ranch is gorgeous with fruit trees all... More

Was concerned about getting too much sun so I dressed appropriately. However was not an issue as this is primarily on trails, not much open terrain. Pleasant ride, good horses and the guide talked throughout pointing out all the fruits and plants that grow on the island. Got to grab a few coffee beans and some cinnamon leaves along the... More

We had a great horseback ride with nice views of the ocean and jungle like vegetation. Our guide - Angel- did a great job and a good sense of humor when we had to stop twice and pick up my phone which i dropped TWICE, The second time my horse " Dave " got tired of that foolishness and politely... My sister and I enjoyed riding at the Ironwood Ranch very much! Gina was our guide as she took us through the Ironwood forest to the jungle through an amazing trail pointing out historical rock walls and local vegetation. The sights, sounds and smells were glorious. The horses are clearly well cared for and extremely well behaved. I rode Lady... More

We had such a nice trail ride with Ironwood Ranch. We scheduled for my birthday, but tropical storms left us rained out. Gina (or maybe Gail, pardon my memory) was super great about re-booking us at a time that worked for us, and when weather looked questionable, moved us to an earlier ride same day. I admitted to them that... More

Ironwood ranch was a great place for a ride. Our family of 5 enjoyed our outing. Our guides mane was Gina. She told us of local history, local weather trends, and island agriculture. The horses are well kept. The stalls are in plane site, clean and mostly covered.each horse had a wonderful temperament. Our family experience with horses varies from... More

The horses and the scenery were lovely, but our guide's horse was skittish and she had trouble controlling it. The others horses were fairly well behaved, but didn't like to stay together, which made me uncomfortable when my 11 year old daughter fell behind and I couldn't see her.

We loved everything about the visit(s) we made to Ironwood Ranch on our recent trip to Maui! We were thrilled to get off the beaten path and head up the winding dirt road to the ranch and delighted when we crossed under the sign to see the beautiful open space and orchard. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful as we... More
