It was unbelievable experience. We reserved 2 places on the morning ride at the last moment just because somebody else cancelled and I can say we were very lucky! The ride was in the morning, manager Gina still had her voice with her and she was entertaining us thru the whole ride. Horses are extremely well trained and very well... More

The horses at Ironwood Ranch were calm and experienced with all types of riders. My sister, niece, and I took an hour and a half trail ride and saw incredible views, learned about the history of the region. We are experienced riders, but really wanted to enjoy the views without worrying about the horse and Ironwood scored big. Our ride... More

My wife and I are novice horse riders but we were impressed with the quality of the horses, the well organised setup and the informative guide Gina who took us on a ninety minute ride through the plantations, rainforest, and ridges surrounding the ranch. The horses were well behaved except for the occasional munch on the grasses as we went... More

We had a great ride today with the folks at Ironwood Ranch. A nice change of pace from the beaches with a beautiful ride up the mountain through the stunning Norfolk Pines... And a spectacular view out toward molo'kai mid trip. Friendly, knowledgeable guide - and delicious fruit off the ranches trees to end the experience!

I am an experienced rider and my husband a novice. The horses were very well cared for and Dani and Gina were very nice. The scenery on this ride was beautiful. I would definitely do this ride again if we come back to Maui.

This was my first time riding horses in Maui and it was a wonderful experience! We went on the 1-hour ride (we had intended to go on the 1 and 1/2 hour ride, but it had just rained the day before and some of the trails weren't safe for the horses) and it offered a couple really nice views of... We have been on trail rides before, and this was one of the prettiest. Up a hill through pines and cane grass, then down into a jungle with ancient caves and other ruins. Got to pick some coffee beans as we went along. Beautiful views of Molokai. We were on the 90-minute ride which seemed shorter but I wasn't keeping... More

My husband and I did the 90 minute ride today and loved it! We are not riders but are comfortable on horses. So I would rate us as beginners. Gina was our guide and she was terrific! Safety conscious first and then educational and fun second. She talked a lot about the trees and flowers and introduced us to the... More

We went for an afternoon ride. We were concerned an afternoon ride would be too hot but because of the elevatin and trade wind breeze it was perfectly pleasant. My seven year old granddaughter wanted to go so we thought we were just going to please her. Were we ever pleasantly surprised. The ranch is gorgeous with fruit trees all... More

Was concerned about getting too much sun so I dressed appropriately. However was not an issue as this is primarily on trails, not much open terrain. Pleasant ride, good horses and the guide talked throughout pointing out all the fruits and plants that grow on the island. Got to grab a few coffee beans and some cinnamon leaves along the... More
