We did a VIP whale watch. Great experience, small boat, only 5 passengers. Saw whales breach, heard whales singing, saw a family of whales quite close as the whales went up very shallow amongst the sailboats anchored near the harbor. So glad we chose UWW.

We went in late April during our honeymoon so we weren't sure if we'd see whales. The 8:30 AM raft (which held only 17 or so people) found whales at the very end of their adventure....so we benefited as the 10:30 tour because we knew right where to go find them. 2 straight hours of whales breaching, playing, and swimming... I have to say this was so awesome. Even though it was the last week of whale season we were extremely lucky to see a mother cow and her baby. The just kept circling the jetty. The crew put the hydrophone into the water so we could here the whales singing. I picked this company for a more personal experience.... More

Small group tour is the way to go so you can see and take pics. Honestly we saw some whales far off from the road and from our condo or while sitting on the beach but bc it was towards the end of whale season we didn't see many so I was not expecting much. Boy was I surprised. We... More

We had an awesome snorkel tour with Amy & Becca as our guides. They took us to three different locations off the coast of Lanai that were breathtaking. The group was perfect at 15 people, and we were served breakfast and lunch as well. Highly recommend if you like a more personalized tour!!

We booked this tour independently and it was the highlight of our 14 day Hawaiian Cruise. The ladies on this boat really know their stuff. We saw several different groups of whales (up to 4 at a time) and they were very close to the boat. At one point, two whales swam directly under our boat and a lady with... More

We went on a whale watching tour toward the tale end of the season. We saw some whales! The crew was knowledgeable about the whales and shared interesting facts. The crew was friendly and boat ride was a blast! It was a smaller boat, with a small group of passengers and plenty of room to move around. We loved that this... More

We booked this tour last minute and Tiffany was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and found a group of whales that were chasing and fighting for the attention of a female whale. We took the VIP tour so had a boat for our family to ourselves. I would highly recommend upgrading to the VIP and request Tiffany!

This was one of the best Maui experiences ever in over 25 years of visits. The small size of the boat is mitigated by the necessarily small group size, the boat is very fast, so minimum time is spent getting to and from the whale playgrounds. The crew is knowledgeable, friendly, and interesting. We saw several whales, including a cow... More

We chose Ultimate Whale Watching based on other positive reviews. We took an early afternoon two hour tour on a large raft (my description, not there's). They take small groups--not more than 18 people. You're up close and personal with the water and the feel of the wind while going out to the area where hopefully you will see some... More
