My husband and I took our 2 children (ages 8 & 9) on the Reef Dancer in February 2012. We got lost on the way to Lahaina (even with a GPS--don't ask) so we ended up on the last tour of the day which cost a bit more but included a second stop to see sea turtles as well as... More

We booked this trip as our daughter was to small for the submarine trip. All in all I would say that if you do not have younger kids this trip is not for you. Although I enjoyed it, I did not find it good enough to recommend for a group of adults. On the other hand my 2 and a... More

We took what was supposed to be the deluxe tour for 1-1/2 hours! However, all we did was puddle around just outside the harbour for about 45 minutes. Didn't see much more than the reef and the odd fish. The sea life the divers bring up to the windows consisted of a sea urchin and a starfish that looks like... More

We saw alot of awsome sea life because they send divers down and they pick up cool plants. More

Took our 8 and 4 year old daughters on the one hour tour which cost around $100. Took about 20 minutes to get to the "site" which was only a few hundred yards off of Lahaina. Only at the "site" for about 15 or 20 minutes. When we arrived, the boat engines were kept idling rather than turned off, which... More

Unless you have nothing else to do, skip the Reef Dancer. In the first place, there is no "glass bottom" as the tour is advertised. The submarine type vessel is crowded, stuffy and grimy, with windows around the sides that are badly in need of wash.. Travelers descend down very steep and slippery stairs to sit on uncomfortable chairs in... More

Ideally, this would be 3.5 stars. Some reviews are too harsh, so I'm bumping it to 4. If you're easily queasy (i love that line), then don't go. But, if you have a kid, particularly a kid under 6 (they ride free per paying adult), then GO! They will love it. Pros: --An underwater adventure in a submarine (well, a... More

See everything that you would while scuba or snuba diving but you don't have to get into the water! My husband doesn't do swimming activities so this was the perfect way for him to see the under water creatures! Ricardo was very knowledgable of all the sea creatures that divers found and brought up to the windows. Great thing to... More

Thought this hour and one-half trip was over priced for what you saw and got..saw but one turtle and refreshment consisted of a canned Coke and snack pack of Famous Amos cookies. Did not see much of a variety of fish and certainly none of colors you would hope for. More
