This is a large venue for a luau, but they do a nice job. The food is much better than one would expect; there is a wide range of offerings, including many traditional Hawaiian dishes, and lots of seafood. There are many kid-friendly options, as well as an open bar. The performance itself was not so authentic, but quite fun.... More

This is a traditional luau. There are no fire batons because that is not traditional. The luau tells the story of Hawaii. It books up; make reservations early. We made them a couple of weeks before our trip and of the 7 nights we were in Maui, we could only get seats on one night. There is traditional seating for... More

It was our first trip to Maui and definitely wanted to do a luau. Old Lahaina Luau has the best reviews and it didn't disappoint. The check in process was quick and painless. The staff were all super nice and friendly. The setting and grounds were well laid out and beautiful. Right on the water. Everything is included so the... More

I've always wanted to go to a luau, so when we booked out mother-daughter trip to Maui, I decided to book this luau. My daughter is seventeen, and we both really enjoyed everything about the experience at the Old Lahaina Luau. Upon arrival, you are given a beautiful lei to wear, and a lovely flower for your hair. A delicious... More

The parking lot is very tiny and we were early enough to get in but I think they had everyone else park at the mall across the street. We first had to wait in a line to pick up our tickets and then we had to wait in another line to get in. There was not much room and it... More

The grounds here were beautiful and traditional. The food was good and for an open bar the drinks were very well made. The people were so nice. The only disappointment was there wasn't fire which we learned was not native to a traditional luau. This luau is a must if staying in Maui.

It is a beautiful compound and they give real flower lei, not cheap seashell. However, food selection limited and we could only go once. The plate itself so heavy, really can't put much on without holding with 2 hands. The dancers are good, but when there are obvious non-natives in the dance troop, it kind of took away any realism.... This was a great place to go, with fun for all ages; from cultural ideas for the parents, to cute boys for the teens. The food is amazing and truly Hawaiian. However, one of the best parts was the staff. They're friendly and ready to help at all times! Mahalo, Old Hawaiian Luau!

Because my teens wanted to see different types of Luaus, I spent a lot of time researching Luaus available on Maui. We chose the authentic Old Lahaina Luau for my son, which means no Fire Dancer. For my daughter, we chose the Feast at Lele, which included a Fire Dancer. No matter which Luau you pick, make your reservation as... More

went to this luau with a group rate through a friend's wedding. It was actually a really cool experience. Before we went on our trip a lot of people told us that luaus were overrated and just a touristy thing to do (I can see why they would say this as it was mostly tourists) but I'm glad we did...
