the staff was friendly and courteous. The greens were in excellent shape. They are a little slow but roll true and look beautiful. The fairways are in excellent shape. The course is fair with wide fairways and not too much water but quite a few sand bunkers

Spend the xtra money and go play Kapalua. This driving range sucks. The rental clubs are horrendous and wore out. Course was nice but I would look somewhere else when spending this type of money.

I needed to play only 9 holes midmorning...good luck finding that on Maui! But that's what Kaanapali gave me. They don't have a 9 hole rate but gave me the twilight rate and clubs at the twilight rate, even though I went out at 9:30am. I was a single which I'm sure made it easier to get on. If I... More

We played the Kai course during our trip and loved it! Some undulating greens and uphill and down hill holes! The wind comes into play on nearly every hole!

The Kai course is a beautiful and challenging hilly course without having to pay Maui seaside prices. Selecting clubs for uphill and downhill fairways will test your eye-skills! The sugar train steam locomotive adds a fun touch not found anywhere else. Can't wait to return!

Great 2 days Kai and Royal Comments about course closing at 6 was true ... So we only played 15 and could not find our way back to club house... Felt very silly! But we had great service ... Clean cart ... Ice cooler and cold face towels upon return... We waved to passing steam engine train and I am... More

The course is wide open and relatively straight forward, there's a few with the nice ocean view but the last holes coming back to the clubhouse are terrible, you are in the middle of the resort area parking lot and high vehicle traffic area A lot of the grounds keepers don't even stop their work while you take your shot

WOW never experianced such a horrible service from the pro shop person Wayne, I am a local here and have been comming to Kanapali golf course all my life and it suprises me that he is still employeed. I am sure for some odd reason he is still employeed with the golf course, but I will assure that the local... More

We booked at half price through e-z links and even then did not consider this great value for money. This is about an $80 course, not a $200 course. Some of the views are nice but it was noisy in many places - roads, construction and the annoying shuttle train. A few holes played uncomfortably close to the road or... More

Great Location! Challenging but a fun course. Well kept. Carts have GPS so it makes the round that much better. Pretty views and I was able to get a round in for $120 w/ cart. Definitely would play this course again.
