If you like beautiful gardens then you might like to travel somewhat out of your way to see this attraction. It seemed out of place to me to see lavender and other non-native plants in Hawaii (we also saw an olive grove starting up nearby!). It costs $3 a head to enter and walk around the ground. We only went... More

We paid to take a self-guided tour of the lavender fields on the slopes of Haleakala. At the registration desk they have some hot water with lavender herbal tea and lavender honey. We loved their tea and honey so much that we continue to buy from their web site and ship to our home on the mainland. You can get... More

I absolutely loved this garden, it is so much more than just lavender. And you can't beat the $3 admission price. They also offer a $12 walking tour, but I passed on this since I preferred to wander around at my own pace. There are more varieties of flowers and plants than I can remember, plus great views since it's... More

If you like plants, this is a nice place. No big crowds and very peacful. Views of Muai are great. It's a good drive up the mountain and kind of hidden. If you have a few hours to spare, you might enjoy a visit. We went there and we were on our way back in about 1 hour there. Then... More

We stopped here since we saw it in our guide book. It was $6 I believe and that got us in to see the gardens and visit the shop. The tour is extra and we did not do that. We did the scavenger hunt of the grounds and that made it more exciting to see all the sights. We got... More

We decided to go to the Lavender farm on our last day. We arrived at 3:48 and wanted to go to the shop and buy a few things. We were told they did not allow anyone to enter after 3:45, that we would need to come back. Well we were going to fly home, so we could not do that.... More

Spent Sunday at Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm. It was a Sunday family special. We signed up for the guided tour with lunch. We had a great guide. He even kept my 17 year old son interested. There were activities for all ages. The lunch was pricey but tasty. The view was priceless. What a great way to spend a Sunday... More

My husband and I booked the tour and ended up being the only one in the group. Kim was very knowledgable about not only lavender but the other plants that were supported and grown on the Ali'i Lavender Farm. We were able to sample some of the plants and get a history of the property by smell. The views at... More
