This farm no longer is open and therefore any plans to visit this will result in a big disappointment. We found this out by driving up there based upon search on the internet, but found that a family now lives there and it is a private residence now. Please don't expect any facilities or to see many exotic flowers. This... More

We planned to stop here on our descent from Haleakala summit earlier this month. Sadly, a sign on the property said it's closed and for sale.

Amazing, gorgeous one-of-a-kind protea flowers. Nothing like them anywhere else in the world....literally. Great spot to stop for a simple snack and a fantastic photo op. Beautiful!

If your making the trek to the Haleakala Crater take a few minutes to stop into the Protea Gift Shop right next to the Kula Lodge Restaurant on the Haleakala Highway. I guarentee you will never see more unique or beautiful flowers than the Hawaiin Proteas. The owners are also very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

You could walk on the property, enjoy the beautiful flowers, pick up some coffee, use their washroom, send some flowers for your loved-ones.

Free to wander around and enjoy the flowers. We did not see as many because it was not the right time of year. Friendly owner..nice store..bought an angel made from a dried protea for my Christmas tree.

What a wonderful place to visit. A general store and a floral boutique, but so much more. You can see all types of Protea growing on the property, and wander the fields at will to see all stages of growth. The NICEST people run the place, and there is no charge to visit and see everything, unlike so many similar... More
