Now that I have experienced trips from early morning to sunset on the Kai Kanani...it is without a doubt one of the best family-oriented boating experiences in South Maui. The experienced captains and crew are about fun, courtesy, customer service, adventure, the habitat and education (almost always a naturalist on board), whether under motor or sail - but always safety... I've been snorkeling all of the globe, and they were FIRST CLASS! It's worth paying the extra money for this trip! Visited in July 2014 You'll check in, leave your shoes behind, get on the Catamaran, have breakfast, and it's a 30 min ride to Molokini. Once there, you should be able to see marine life immediately off the boat.... More

The staff was great and very careful and attentive to everyone in the water, the most important detail. The cost of the trip was expensive considering the boat ride was basically out to Malikini and back. Also not enough food for breakfast or lunch.

I took the early morning Molokini Express trip twice during my week in Maui. The Molokini snorkeling was out of this world-- crystal clear water, beautiful fish and coral, and saw a whitetip reef shark on the second trip! Crew was great. A wonderful trip.

One of our must do's on Maui was a trip to Molokini. We went on the sunrise charter and it was fantastic. The crew were great in helping everyone to board safely. They spent a lot of time informing everyone on safety and making sure that everyone had a great time. I can't say enough great things about the experience... More

We took the early trip at 6am to Molokini and we were not disappointed. We were the only boat around with plenty of opportunities to see colorful fish and on the second stop also turtles. If you take trip you can skip breakfast and eat breakfast on the boat. Great staff, good gear and nice boat.

We have sailed with Kai Kanani 4 times and have had an excellent time on each trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the fast trip to Molokini was the best. Always staying in Wailea, we did not like having to drive for an hour just to motor for another hour back to where... More

We were staying in Wailea and I didn't fancy getting up at the crack of dawn to drive round for the early start of some of the molokini tours, although we did want a morning tour as we heard the waters got rougher and murkier in the afternoon. Kai Kanani was a 9am start and 5 mins away from our... More

We did the Sunset Sail from Makena Beach. This is a must do in Maui. The sail was incredible. Captain Anthony was fantastic. Staff was amazing. They went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. On board ukelele music added to the great atmosphere. I would do it every night on the island, if I could.
