Pros: covered boat, BCD/reg rentals include a dive computer, good DM-diver ratio, short distance from Kihei boat dock to Molokini crater (< 30 min), and even shorter distance to a cool wreck dive with sunken shrimp trawler and tires, yummy fresh pineapple and Hawaiian sweetbread sandwiches in between dives (though if you tend to get hungry while diving, it would... Wanted to dive in Maui and found this PADI school in the phonebook. It was during the hurricane alert in Aug 2014 so I suspected a so-so dive. Our Dive Master, Chris from Sandy, UT was fantastic. He warned us the visibility might not be great but it was a lot better than expected. Chris was wonderful and we had... More

Visited Prodivers for my PADI open water certification. Lessons were one on one and scheduled around my vacation time-line rather than a rigid preset schedule. They are a small business but that contributed to a great learning experience. I have continued to dive regularly throughout my 28 days on Maui and never felt lost thanks to their thorough instruction. Dive... More

I came here to give my positive feedback and am very sad to hear about the boat sinking. Five years between visits and Prodiver is still great. I dove with Paul (captain) and Lizzie (dive master) for three days in July. I always felt well cared for. They did a thorough boat safety briefing, setup our gear, and conducted good... More

We've dove with Prodiver on and off for 10 years. Our day with them in early July (1st) was one of our most fun ever. It starts with the people. The company has had solid dive masters and captains for as long as we've gone out with them. They are professional, detail oriented, knowledgeable and most of all, fun. They... More

FYI-Their boat sank on 7/17 off Molokini and is unlikely to be salvaged. Try one of the other outfits in South http://mauinow.com/2014/07/17/prodiver-maui-vessel-sinks-by-molokini-crater/ until they are up and running again.

Wife and I dove with ProDiver 4 days this June. For two of those we were on the boat with "leahleah" and her fiancée (see prior review), and I second all her very thorough comments, adding only that a small operation like this clearly attracts a great class of diver to dive with... you won't get the tech-head supernerds who... My fiancé and I took our first trip to Maui and booked 3 days of diving with Prodivers after reading the rave reviews on TripAdvisor and in Maui Revealed. I was not disappointed as this was by far the best dive operation I've experienced in my 100+ dives to date. Captain Paul took us out to Molokini for the first... More

Five of us went out today to the Back Wall and Red Hill. We had an awesome time with Capt Bryan and dive leader, Ben! We were given very good site briefings, had a bunch of critters pointed out, and even learned some history/mythology. Thanks for taking such good care of us guys!

I dove with Captain Paul two days during my visit to Maui. My second day was with divemaster Lizzie, who was fantastic. This company is topnotch. Only 6 divers on a trip, very safety conscious, laid back and friendly while totally professional. Best of all, we saw a humpback whale while we were diving on the back of Molokini. Unbelievable!...
