We have played here before, but not since the new ownership. It was ok. Nothing outstanding but then the price is reasonable and you get what you pay for. We asked for a spare bag, as we had all our clubs in one travel bag. We got it and because our cart wasn't ready my husband carried the bag over... More

We golfed the course last year before the name change and wanted to go back as the rates were reasonable and it was close to our Accomodations. At first, we were thinking it was not the greatest course from our recollection, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our recollections must have been off. While it is not a championship course, we... I just played the Maui Nui golf course this year. Previously, this was the Elleair Golf Club. I have played this course many times over the years but the new management has let the course deteriorate. While the fairways are is reasonably good shape, some greens are in good shape while others are in poor shape. The water hazards are... More

Thank you for your review. Your 4 hour round was actually ahead of pace for golf on Maui. Ice chest are provided to customers at check in upon request. Our carts are not equipped with coolers. Golfers who are handicapped are provided special provisions which include handicap flags that allow them to get closer to the greens. Again, thank you... More

Had a very nice round of golf on the Maui Nui course where the conditions on greens, fairways and all over in general were excellent. For one like me with a high handicap the course was sufficient challenging, however I think people with lower handicap would like more variation - however that is not for me to judge. I was... More

The man who met us at the bag drop was very friendly. Unfortunately he was the last one. The starter was grumpy and soundly reprimanded me for moving my cart before he called me. I rented clubs and at the turned asked if I could possibly add a lob wedge since there were only 13 clubs in the bag. Was... More

We played Maui Nui yesterday, and the course was in phenomenal shape…the best I've seen it in years! We are locals here on island, and this is honestly one of our favorite courses to play. The director of golf Lief Smith and his staff member Chelsea were very helpful getting us set up with a tee time in the heart... More

Played on a Tuesday and the course was pretty busy but the starter got us off earlier. We rented clubs and they were well used. Never did see a practice putting green other than the chipping area behind the driving range. The greens were fast but in decent shape. Carts have GPS but they are old and need some TLC.

You have two choices on Maui......overpriced snobby resort courses, they are good courses, not great, well maintained but way overpriced. Second choice is the local courses, of which Maui Nui (formerly Elleair) is one. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and an interesting course with lots of challenge. Good views, fairways are in real good shape, greens will make you think. Reasonable... More

We are fortunate to visit Maui twice a year (Jan and Sept/Oct) and have been golfing at Maui Nui Golf Course(formerly Elleair) for about 5 years now! The golf course is always in exceptional shape, the deals are fabulous and the people are just simply terrific! Great staff in the Pro Shop (thanks again to Chelsea!) Buff who always has... More

I made my tee time from my hotel. You are not going to see the ocean from every hole. You are in Hawaii, it is still beautiful. Relax and shoot a low round.
