Great for families

One of Maui's few beaches with lifeguards make it great for families. Waves are usually minimal and the amount of beach-goers is usually decent (meaning not too crowded)

Kamaole Beach II was right across the street from the condo we stayed in. There are lifeguards and showers. Not a lot of parking, which did not affect us as we walked there. Nice sand beach, beautiful sunset. The waves were pretty rough and so we did not do any snorkeling here. However lots of body surfing and boogie boarding.... More

Kam II, as well as I and III are very nice parks/beaches. There are lifeguards, with posted hours, at each location. The beaches are on the smaller side but generally aren't very crowded. If you are staying in South Kihei, one of these parks will likely be within walking distance of your place. Another nice feature of these beaches is... More

Sunsets here are glorious! It's fun to watch the locals and the visitors playing here, doing yoga or tai chi, strolling along the wide expanse of grass, sinking their toes into the soft sand, or jumping into the water.

This place is great. Not too crowded, clear waters, small waves for boogie boarding, and great sunset views.

We loved this beach! So close to our condo and the perfect location to grab a quick lunch when we were hungry. One of our favourite places to swim!

This is the middle of the 3 kam beaches. The rocks between kam 2 and 3 offer some very cool tide pools. We saw lots of little fish and even a couple of eels there. Also off the end of the rocks you can see the coral and the morning we were there we watched a turtle swimming about 10... More

So close to the condo we stayed. Many families of all ages enjoying themselves in the ocean. The place to be. Every single day we spent time here. Love it. Beautiful. We were in the ocean enjoying all it had to offer us. Excellent.

This beach was safe, had a life guard and at both ends of these short area were rocky outcroppings with good snorkelling to view lots of tropical fish and numerous turtles. Even say a ray one day. The surf was not too strong and our two twin 11 yr old grandsons spent hours on boogie boards.
