We were told by a local that this was a picturesque place for photos, especially at sunset. So we went up there and got some great shots with the canoes/beach/palm trees, etc. Didn't get to go paddling unfortunately but it's on my list for the next time there.

If you have never experienced paddling in an outrigger canoe - this is a must, easy and truly enjoyable activity. You will learn about the history of the sport and be accompanied by extremely experienced paddlers. Many stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and possible whale, turtle and other sea life. A must do! The $30.00 charge goes... More

No better way to start the morning. Great group of people who can tell just about anything regarding the Island. I have balance problems and have difficulty jumping in the boat but once I am in can paddle just fine. The boat captain makes sure I am taken care of and sitting before we head out. So Don't be afraid... More

On Tuesdays and Thursdays the club offers outrigger canoe rides for a $30 (tax deduct able) which supports youth canoeing as a sport. Sign in @ 7am- on first come 1st serve basis! We all thought of it as a unique way to enjoy this beautiful island! History is shared and reasonably long ride provided will long be remembered as... More

I live on Maui part-time and this was my first experience in an outrigger canoe with the KCC - I'll go again! The members are warm and enthusiastic instructors and seeing Maui from an ocean perspective in the calm morning waters is lovely - we did not happen to see turtles on our trip, but it is possible to see... The Kihei Canoe Club will take you on the bay for about 1 1/2 hr in their long canoes. They ask for a donation of $30. This is about the least expensive thing you can do on Maui. It is great fun, and the locals that belong to this club are very warm and friendly. I saw a sea turtle.... More

Every morning we noticed outrigger canoes paddling past our condo and thought "wow! How can we do that?" After making a few calls to different companies that rented beach items with no luck, someone suggested we contacted a canoe club. What a great way to spend the morning! The Kihei Canoe Club offers to take visitors on their Tuesday and... More

we got to join the canoe club on a Thursday morning for a 2 hour adventure---it is now a $30 donation to paddle but since the money supports good causes, it was well worth it---all run by volunteers, we paddled a few miles out, got a chance to swim with the turtles and paddle back---great way to start the day

The first people who saw Hawaii came by wind and paddle. As an Hawaiian who now lives on the mainland I paddle every chance I get when I return to the islands. It's a way I can stay connected with my ancestors who came before me. The Kihei Canoe Club respects the past and shares it with Aloha to visitors... More
