Every morning we noticed outrigger canoes paddling past our condo and thought "wow! How can we do that?" After making a few calls to different companies that rented beach items with no luck, someone suggested we contacted a canoe club. What a great way to spend the morning! The Kihei Canoe Club offers to take visitors on their Tuesday and... More

we got to join the canoe club on a Thursday morning for a 2 hour adventure---it is now a $30 donation to paddle but since the money supports good causes, it was well worth it---all run by volunteers, we paddled a few miles out, got a chance to swim with the turtles and paddle back---great way to start the day

The first people who saw Hawaii came by wind and paddle. As an Hawaiian who now lives on the mainland I paddle every chance I get when I return to the islands. It's a way I can stay connected with my ancestors who came before me. The Kihei Canoe Club respects the past and shares it with Aloha to visitors... More

I saw in the Maui News that the Kihei Canoe Club takes visitors out canoeing in their outriggers on Tuesday and Thursday for a $30 donation to support their cultural activities. We were staying at the Kealia Resort (on Sugar Beach) and easily walked along the beach to the Canoe Club. We arrived around 7:00 AM and signed up. They... More

Check it out-you can go out paddling with the locals from the club. They ask for a $30 donation. After a quick lesson on the beach, out for about 1 1/2 hours. Saw turtles, stingray and had a history lesson. Can't beat it and was a good work out too.

We went down on Thurs morning at about 7;30 there was plenty of room for 3. Np rpoblems parking They have floatation vests if you and to use them. This was very... More

On Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week, you can go to Kihei Canoe Club to experience a piece of Hawaiian culture. Located on S. Kihei Rd and Uwapo - look for the gold and red canoes. The reason I choose this over other canoe adventures is the fact they take a $25 donation to help the youth community and work... More

Weather permitting, Tuesdays and Thursdays are guest days at Kihei Canoe Club. For a $25 tax deductible donation for first time paddlers, you get a single or double outrigger with club members in key positions and other guests. Check in begins at 7 am . The club promotes the Hawaiian culture and the experience starts with a Hawaiian cultural explanation,... More

This private canoe club offers the general public the opportunity to go out and try paddle canoeing in traditional 6 manHawaiian canoes each Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7 am. The cost of this outing is a $25 donation made to the club, much of which is used to support programs for local children with financial needs. It is an... More
