Explore the island. Eat the food. Enjoy the sun. Respect the culture. Embrace aloha-style. The road to Hana is a day-long trip. I strongly advise first timers to avoid driving there!!!! The road is treacherous and you will play "chicken" with school buses on one lane bridges. However, make the time to see Hana. Go to Hasegawa's General Store for... More

We drove to many places on the Island and enjoyed the following: the crater is worth visiting; the town of Paia and the nearby surfing; snorkelling, especially off Molokini (buy your tickets at a discount booth, not at your hotel); the Tropical Plantation. We really have no complaints -- everything was interesting. The best thing though, is swimming in the... More

This was an hour and half show that relived Elvi's music career. I did see Elvis live twice, this show could have been Elvis Live with Darrin Lee performing this show since he was 15 years old. A must see show

we have been to Kihei for years. Today we took the Maui Snorkel Charters. A perfect boat for 12- 16 people and the best size for a more personal trip. The owners are the best. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles, lots of snorkeling and a wonderful lunch. This was all in one trip. This whole package they offer is the... More

We took two tours with Roberts, both lasted all day. The tour guides were excellant, very knowledgeable, and excellant drivers.

After spending a week here in mid Oct, I can only say its a water sportsman's wonderland. Snorkeling, diving, paddle board, surfing ,etc are only a short distance away. If you like to hike, Hana & 2 mountain ranges provide plenty to do too. Several good museums give the visitor an overview of local history to widen his ( her)... More

Wonderful salty ocean water for swimming everywhere. But the many beaches will not be wonderful in a few years' time if Maui does not stop dogs peeing and pooping on the sand and in the water. Dog numbers are multiplying. Very rarely was dog seen actually on the sand at the water's edge in the 80s. There was more respect... More

Little beach is an absolute -must- (for me) every morning. The setting is lovely, the waves aren't overwhelming, and the ocean floor is a gentle slope that's nearly rock free during the end of September / early October, time period, (which is when I've been there).

1) Road to Hana: it is a must, and do not drive there. Take a tour company. There are a few. We were provided at the hotel with all info and tickets for main attractions (Marc Stevens did a good job on scheduling all our week – thank you! Marc.) We use Discover Hawaii Tour, provider recommended by the resort... More
