It all started with cancelling the pick up in the morning. We decided to take our own car as we might do something else after the tour. The girl on the phone was incredibly rude, but we got over it. We arrived to the office at 2.40 am, had a terrible coffee, and I saw some pre-packed pastries. After spending... More

I won't go into all the details because others have explained it very well. From the moment they picked us up at 2am until we were returned after our downhill bike trip, the staff were friendly, and so willing to share all their knowledge Hawaiian culture and the island. I was a little nervous about the bike trip but was... More

We were picked up at our hotel at 2:00am. It was very early! Just as previous reviews said you went back to the base camp where you were provided with packaged pastries (not very good). After that you are then transported to the top of the carter. I was excited to get a front row spot for this. We were... More

After nearly a half-dozen visits to Maui, I finally decided to do this activity with my son. There are several outfits to choose from, and to be frank, we chose Maui Downhill because they offer a significant discount at Costco.com. (If you call them directly, and mention the Costco offer, they may match the price; they did for me, and... More

We were a party of friends and family celebrating our anniversary. Age rage was 22-62. This is an amazing tour and we had a great guide!! Robb is amazing, funny and so much fun. All of the team there were very friendly, accomodating and informative and it was more like they were a part of our group. This is incredibly... More

1:45am pickup is not ideal but with my daughter and niece both celebrating their 21st we began our adventure. The driver and guide were fantastic and talked most of the way giving us some great incite into this beautiful island. After a quick stop we started the climb to 10000 feet. It was freezing cold so although you are on... More

My wife and I signed up for this tour while booking our Costco vacation to Maui. I'm an experienced traveler, having worked as a tour guide in Europe for 7 years in my younger days - so I know a bit about the travel industry. Our trip to Maui this July was amazing in every way (I hope you read... More

The peaceful glide down the mountain was a marvelous time. Well worth doing as an alternative to beach and water activities. Our group had a safe and fun time.

Our family (my wife, two grown daughters and I) have been to Hawaii many times, but never to the Haleakala Crater. So we signed up for the Maui Downhill Bike Safari, and it was definitely an adventure. The Maui Downhill folks are first-rate. They provide the equipment (bike, helmet, windbreaker), lots of safety precautions, great stories about Maui, and in... More

driver picked us up@1:40 AM. stopped at their headquarters to pick up helmets, windbreakers, and breakfast (some packaged pastries and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, which were all mediocre.) arrived at the summit of Haleakala by 4:40, an hour before sunrise. With the winds, the temp was in the low 40s. the sunrise was beautiful. finally we descended to around... More
