By noon, some of the dealers start pulling out, if it's hot. And it was like an oven by 11:30 on the day we went. It's a fun place, but caveat emptor. Some of the items, as mentioned, can be found for less elsewhere. Good food options. Look for the quirky. There is a corner with old/used items that are... More

Many booths to shop at, I enjoyed the market which we visited on our first full day in Maui. I thought we would save money on souveniers, the items I purchased I found for less money or for the same price in Lahaina which jaded me somewhat. We bought produce which was nice but the cucumbers were rotten in two... More

We visited a few farmer's market for fruits and veggies during our 10 day stay, but at one farmer's market, a local told us we should definitely try to stop by the maui swap meet on Saturday if we have a chance. So glad we did. Parking is free and plenty of it, but it does get filled up really... More

I was surprised at the number of vendors, the selection of products and the great food. I love beach glass jewelry and found several vendors with excellent prices! Loved the freshly made spinach and mushrooms crepes as well!! After shopping at several places on the island, I found many of the swap meet vendors to have the best deal of... More

We were pleasantly surprised. It's like a very upscale flea market with lots of vendors. There is a good variety of products, many are local, and all seem well displayed and clean. The prices are good and there is no pressure to buy. We picked up a lot of local vegetables and fruits at a fraction of what you would... More

This was a great way to spend a couple of hours with the kids on a rainy Saturday morning. They enjoyed digging through the $1/item or 6/$5 table. We enjoyed the Maui Girl Starbucks Coffee Shave Ice. We got it with Chocolate, Caramel and Cream toppings. Yum!! We ordered a Rainbow shave for the kids and husband told them he... More

My husband and I went to the Maui Swap Meet the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was a great place to shop for souveniers, tshirts (5 for $20), aloha shirts ($15), jewelry, shaved ice, coconut juice, handmade crafts, hats etc etc. I did all my christmas shopping for less than $160 and I know everyone will love their hawaiian gifts. Don't... More

Located at Maui Community College across from the mall on Saturday mornings. Fifty cents admission and a cross section of people that makes for great people watching while you shop. Bring reusable bags for ease and your comfort although there are plastic bags for produce and most shopping items. I like to check out the jewelry, tourist gifts, clothing items... More

We always try to hit the swap meet in Kahului when we visit Maui. The selection and prices of souvenirs as well as food and flowers can't be beat anywhere on the island that we've found. You can get yummy fruit smoothies, shave ice, fruits and veggies, wonderful jams and salsa (the pineapple salsa is mandatory...trust me!) as well as... More

I wish I had known about this earlier. There are great deals at the swap meet. My wife bought a sun hat and two shirts, and wants to go back for another one. We especially liked the produce stands--great prices, which make it worth the admission price. We'll be going back on Saturday to stock up on fresh veggies and... More
