After living on Maui for over 25 years, one of my first stops when I came back on vacation was to Maui Tropix (actually their Lahaina shop on Front Street). My son who now lives in Nevada too, wanted a selection of t-shirts, caps, and especially stickers and decals -- and not just from any shop, but Maui Tropix since... More

The store is great and so are the employees, but the irony is they sell things that say "Slow down, this ain't da mainland" many locals usually in pickup trucks & also in cars too, are the ones that drive excessively fast and on your tail especially around the Kahului area and road to Hana, with no regard to your... Every visit to Maui includes shopping time at the Kahului store location. Love the friendliness of the store staff, and the great gear available only at the stores, sorry no online purchasing. So gotta stock up on Maui Tropix's gear when I'm on Maui. My mainland friends rave about the Maui Built gear I bring back for them, while others... More

What a cool store. They've got everything needed to turn your gringo butt into a surfer dude or just buy some cool vacation gear. From hats to sunglasses, t-shirts to swim trunks, sandals to surfboards. Their customer service is amazing. I was unsure about my purchases and got honest, helpful input. A very pleasant experience.

Getting in and out of the parking lot is ridiculous cause the road is madness. The stickers are overpriced and you can find surfshops all over the place. Just go to an easier location like Kaahumanu Center for surfing needs or Neil Pryde because the convenience. Different brands but basically the same idea!

Had buddies with Maui Built stuff and now after finally getting to Hawaii I had to visit Tropix and get myself some Maui Built products of my own. I visited the one on Dairy road and there is also a smaller store in Lahaina. Everything from t-shirts to stickers to the best of all board shorts are well built and... More

If you come all the way to Maui, you need an authentic souvenier. Stop at Maui Built, amazing gear, clothes, hats, bags, accessories, etc etc, from infant-adult and even pets. Don't be fooled by cheap shell necklaces at other beach shops, Maui Tropix Maui Built is where it's at

I had bought 2 shirts on my last visit to Maui. When I got home and washed them, all was ok until I realized that my sons shirt was coming apart at the seam. After calling multiple times to speak to a manager (2 weeks total) I finally got through as they do not call you back. I was told... More

The Maui built line of clothing is very good quality. They have a wide selection for children, teens and adults. There is a wide variety of graphics on the T's, hoodies, hats, etc. The cost is very reasonable. Our friends in Canada always want us to bring them back something from there. The sales clerks were very friendly and even... More
