I had really low expectations of this tour but ended up having a good time. The tour takes you through the plant so you can see how they wash and box up the Pineapple's for delivery. I enjoyed the trip to the fields where we saw how they pick the Pineapple and plant them. We didn't do the lunch across... More

This tour was a disappointment. First of all, they pack the group into a large van and blast tha A/C. We could not hear a thing from the guide sitting in the back. Then, for Saturday tours, the factory portion was closed so it was boring walking through the machinery in non-operation mode with the guide...we were hoping to see... More

It's kind of fun thing's to do if you never seen how they plant pineapple. I think the cost of the tour is kind of expensive.

We were in Maui in February and wanted to do something different. When we signed up for the tour it sounded interesting. What a disappointment and a waste of money. To their credit, the tour company did compensate our group by crediting 50 % back to our credit cards and giving us free lunch (limited choice) at the Haliimaile General... More

All of these pineapples are planted by hand and harvested by hand, now that is some hard work. We were able to watch the workers planting which many tourists do not get to see. The workers can make up to $40 an hour if they plant 3,000 pineapples a day which is equal to an acre worth of pineapple. After... More

A lot of fun! It's a little hard to find, but its worth the hunt. You learn a lot about pineapple, and they dispel some myths about it. Our guide Steve was a lot of fun and entertaining. When it says you get to taste their pineapple, it doesn't say "in the field" but you do. Talk about fresh!! Steve... More

We were a bit skeptical when we first pulled up because the place looked like a dump and kind of dirty. Steve was really friendly. We were told that their normal vehicle was in the shop so we all squeezed into a dodge van...which added to the sketchiness...but Steve was extremely knowledgeable about Hawaii!! We learned so much about trees,... More

Hard to find, GPS took us right past it, you need a much bigger sign. The tour guide was knowledgeable. The workers were out in the field, not in the packing plant so go on a Tuesday or Thursday. We go out in a air conditioned van through the pineapple fields which is very interesting. We get to sample the... More

Of course we happened to visit Maui the week where they got more rain than they have in years! The pineapple fields were flooded, so although we were scheduled on a Thursday (the workers work on a field on Tuesdays/Thursdays), we were not able to actually go out and walk in the fields and eat our pineapple in stages out... We had a fantastic tour with Steve on February 18th. Do not miss this! Lunch at the General Store was amazing as well - it made for a great morning! Needless to say, the pineapples are amazing! We highly recommend this tour with lunch included. Fun and very, very informative.
