I knew we didn't want to drive the Road to Hana ourselves. My parents recommended Mahalo Tours, as they had done the same tour 2 years ago. They picked us up at 7am, at our hotel. They handled everything: breakfast, lunch, snacks...driving the road & a wealth of information about the area!! Our guide, Nathan, went above & beyond for... More

Tour went all the way around the mountain. Took 13 hours!!!! Stopped in some shady beach and neighborhood. Snacks were nice but lunch sucked.

Yes, the tour to Hana is an all day tour, usually lasting about 12 hours. I am sure this information was relayed to you by the concierge/agent who sold you the tour. Although it is very long, the Road to Hana is the most popular tour on Maui by far. Our apologies that you did not enjoy the lunch. If... More

We took the Road to Hana tour and was very pleased with Kaleo's expertise in driving, his enthusiasm with his obvious pride of ancestry and knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Kaleo !!!

My family was visiting HI for the 1st time and I wanted everything to be perfect. I researched several tour companies & settled on Mahalo Tours. I made THE right decision. EXCEPTIONAL client service from first email interaction when I was still shopping around and through the end of our tour. I LOVED the small tour group size. I think... More

We had and awesome experience with Mahalo Tours. I would recommend them over the other tours because of our Driver Kaleo Kenui. He made this trip especially awesome. Kaleo is local and is extremely knowledgeable and was an excellent driver who was very articulate in expressing his great depth of knowledge of the road and sights along the way. He... More

Long overdue - but my husband and I had a great time on this tour with Kaleo. We were with a young family, and a mom/son pair on this tour with us and it was so much fun. We felt safe (although the van made a couple funny sounds) and it was a nice luxury van, shared great laughs throughout... More

We had a great experience on the Road to Hana. Kaleo (spelling?) was the perfect guide for the trip. Personable, knowledgeable, and courteous, with a great knowledge and sensitivity for the area. Vans were comfortable, food was great. 10 out of 10!

Makana was our tour guide on the road to Hana as well, and we too had such an amazing time. It's rare to find a guide who can maintain the interest of nine family members, ages 13 to 80, for an entire day. Being in his early twenties, he was able rattle off historical facts about the island in a... More

Mahana was our very competent 24 yr. old guide. He started the road to Hana trip by offering the 8 of us aunties guava, pineapple or macadamia nut homemade cakes. Delicious!! On the trip he explained all the native plants & all the invasive plant species & how they got here. Stop to see soft bark of eucalyptus tree &... More

We had Charlie as our guide on the Road to Hana. He was pleasant, funny, entertaining, informative and made sure he took photos of all the families together, on our cameras, at each gorgeous site. He made several stops along the way and purchased us locally made treats, such as banana bread, while we stayed in the comfortable van and... More
