Alicia was Awesome. Did this tour on the first day of our cruise. Alicia picked my husband and I a short walk from the pier. It was great to get away from the large cruise ship excursions. This is a private tour company and well worth the cost!! Learned a lot about the islands. The whole day was ours and... More

Tour came highly recommended on trip advisor and did not disappoint! We had the privilege of having Florian as our guide.what an amazing man! After a delay at meeting time (our fault,as no internet access aboard Pride of America, and missing Florians last email.must point out to any others embarking on POA. Private tour operators are not allowed into the dock... More

We found Awapuhi on Trip Advisor; the hundreds of excellent reviews were accurate. One review suggested doing this early in your visit and we agree. Alicia was educated as a scientist and attorney. We found her to be engaging, informative and interesting. We are so glad she created Awapuhi. We learned a lot about Maui, past and present, geology, history,... More

We had tried to do the Road to Hana 25 years ago on our own, and turned around half way up. This time our family of 6 (4 adult children) tried again, with Alicia, and we all agreed it was the best tour of our trip. She does more than just drive you on the road to Hana- it is... More

This tour is really a maui gem! We enjoyed the tour so much and were so pleased that we went with Florian! He is so knowledgeable of the history, plant and wildlife, culture, and how to find the places you want to see. Alicia and Florian were so easy to work with --I highly recommend booking this tour with either... More

We were told that we had to take the Road to Hana, and that we should not drive it ourselves. "They" were so right. When we looked up tours for this trip, we saw a number of larger companies, but also came across the customized tours of Awapuhi Adventures. For about 10% more, we were able to get a private... Our family of 4 went on the full Hana tour on 12-24-15. Two boys ages 10 and 13, and none of us extremely adventurous. We told Alicia this at the start, and she based the tour on our comfort level. We hiked to look at the beaches and waterfalls, but didn't jump off any. We had done the Western loop... More

Alicia was full of energy and extremely knowledgable on all topics relating to the tour and even areas not related. She is great fun and very personable. At the start of the day, Alicia took us on s little walk through a beautiful bamboo forest and assessed what activities she believed we could manage both physically and mentally. She then... More

Aloha Libby! Mahalo nui loa for your generous and informative review about our Halfway to Hana tour which tends to be a more water-based adventure with more time to enjoy waterfalls and hiking. I really appreciate the pointers you made regarding shoes and bucket list items. Here at Awapuhi we strive to make the day memorable and, if interested in... More

My sons (ages 10 and 15) and I enjoyed an amazing day with Florian. He drove the road to Hana with lots of off road adventures including visiting a bamboo rainforest, swimming in a waterfall, creeping into a lava tube, visiting black sand beaches, and jumping off cliffs. The lunch we had was delicious- very fresh and beautifully presented. Florian... More
